Central Palermo Hotel at the Station
Pros:

Very basic, felt like a cheap hostel.
Bathroom flooded, due to horrendous shower.
Staff not interested in helping or apologising. Staff indifferent.
Laminate floor next to bed, razor sharp where water has lifted it. Air con, ineffective.
Located next to Central Station, which is the only good thing about it. Booking. Com has it as 3 ***, it’s barely 2**

Pros:

Nice stuff, new facilities, clean, at the central bus/train station. They even offered to pack a breakfast for early checkout.

Cons:

The walls are ruined in some parts of the room, and dirty in other. Wall repairing would make a big improvement.

Meine Übernachtung im Hotel Aria am Hauptbahnhof in Palermo war leider die schlimmste Hotelnacht meines Lebens. Es war praktisch unmöglich, auch nur eine Minute ungestört zu schlafen.

Die Fenster des Hotels sind alt und aus Holz, wodurch praktisch keinerlei Geräuschisolierung vorhanden ist. Direkt vor dem Hotel parken die ganze Nacht über Busse mit laufendem Motor. Besonders störend ist die Hydraulik der Busse, die etwa alle 30 Sekunden ein sehr lautes Geräusch verursacht. Jedes Mal, wenn man gerade dabei war einzuschlafen, wurde man sofort wieder geweckt.

Wer Wert auf einen erholsamen Schlaf legt, sollte sich dringend nach einem anderen Hotel umsehen. Ein Hotelzimmer sollte in erster Linie die Möglichkeit bieten, nachts zur Ruhe zu kommen – genau das war hier leider nicht gegeben.

Der Hotelführung kann ich nur empfehlen, endlich in moderne Schallschutzfenster und eine grundlegende Renovierung zu investieren. Es stellt sich die berechtigte Frage, warum Gäste ein Hotel wählen sollten, in dem man nachts kein Auge zubekommt.

Für mich war diese Erfahrung eine große Enttäuschung, und ich würde dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Unica gentilezza hanno tenuto le valigie la mattina che siamo partiti e ci hanno cambiato camera perchè abbiamo avuto un problema che dipendeva dalla struttura.

Cons:

Hotel con poca pulizia, tanto caos e rumore perchè gli infissi sono vecchi. Il quartiere non lo consiglio. Pessima colazione. Non ci tornerei: per il prezzo pagato e ciò che realmente offrono, c'è sicuramente di meglio. Le stelle dichiarate sono ben lontane da ciò che viene offerto.

Pratique pour une nuit, avant de rejoindre l'aéroport en navette, mais pas plus

Les points positifs de cet hôtel, sont d'une part, son personnel, très aimable et à l'écoute ! Sa situation géographique, a quelque pas de la gare routière où nous avons pris le bus pour l'aéroport à 5h du matin. Et une vingtaine de minute à pied du centre ville historique de la ville ! Le petit déjeuner était à volonté, mais la salle de petit déjeuner très exigu et bruyante.

Cons:

Malheureusement nous n'avons pas eu de chance : la salle de bain de notre chambre sentait l'urine, et malgré nos remarques et le nettoyage supplémentaire, l'odeur n'est jamais tout à fait parti. La chambre en elle-même semblait avoir été le lieu d'un drame : porte de la deuxième pièce défoncée, étagère et porte serviette arrachés, tableau tordu... un peu glauque. La fenêtre donnant sur la rue ne fermait pas complétement et nous entendions tout ce qui se passait à l'extérieur, notamment les bus arrêtés moteurs allumés pendant des heures devant l'hôtel. Le personnel nous a gentiment proposé de changer de chambre, mais nous aurions dû soit emporter nos bagages avec nous toutes la journée, soit rester sur place toute la matinée le temps que les chambres soient nettoyées. Les lits deux places sont en réalité des lits une place collés ensemble. Nous avons passé 3 nuits très désagréables.
