Cons:

During our vacation in Şanlıurfa, my wife and I stayed for two nights in a king suite.

Although the room was advertised as a king suite, it was actually of a much lower standard.

When we first entered the room, I noticed that the toilet paper was almost finished. I requested a new roll, and it arrived about half an hour later.

The towels were very old and worn out. My wife did not want to use them. I called the reception, explained the situation, and asked for better towels. However, the ones that arrived were also old and even had holes in them. It was truly unbelievable. Because of this, we gave up asking and used the small towel we had brought with us.

The duvet was very worn out. One of the pillows was extremely thick. I ended up sleeping without a pillow on the first night.

Despite calling the reception, our problems were not resolved. The next morning we wanted to speak with the management in case a solution could be found. Since the management was empty at that moment, we explained the situation to the staff member there. Additional pillows arrived in the evening, but they were also too bulky to use. The new towels that came were again very worn and old.

There was no ceiling light in the area where the bed was located. There was only one side lamp, and the lighting was very insufficient.

Normally, I would not complain this much if we had stayed in a standard room. However, the room we stayed in was advertised as a King Suite, and one would expect at least a certain level of care and quality.

The only thing that made it a “king suite” was the size of the room, but even that became insignificant considering all the other issues.

Cons:

This property is presented as a five star hotel, but my experience was far from that standard. In reality, it felt closer to a two star stay, primarily due to cleanliness and overall upkeep.

The room and common areas were extremely dirty. The carpets looked worn and neglected, and the bed, linens, and bedding all appeared old and visibly unclean. The doors were also dirty, with visible marks that suggested they had not been properly cleaned for a long time. Even the towels were in poor condition, including some that were stained and full of holes. The kettle in the room was another concern, as it appeared unclean and not something I felt comfortable using.

The pool was also very dirty, which was particularly disappointing. It did not feel hygienic or properly maintained, and it discouraged any real use or enjoyment of what should have been a key facility.

Another major drawback was communication. Most of the staff did not speak English, which made even simple requests unnecessarily complicated. The only exception was the restaurant manager, who was genuinely kind, professional, and helpful.

Breakfast was also disappointing. For an entire week the selection remained essentially unchanged, with a limited variety and little attention to freshness or choice.

Finally, the room lighting was poor. The space was noticeably dark, and the lack of additional lamps or proper lighting made the room feel gloomy and impractical, especially in the evening.

Overall, this hotel does not meet the expectations associated with a five star rating. With significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, staff communication, and breakfast variety, it could offer a better experience. As it stands, I cannot recommend it.
