Need to be more diligent when cleaning. A syringe was found by my 4-year-old stepson while he was playing and dropped a toy between the bedside table and the bed head. Immediately called reception and were told no one was on site or able to come and remove it and to be careful around the area and they would have someone call me in the morning. I had to chase up the call myself and did not hear from anyone who could potentially deal with the issue. I finally spoke with the property manager after ringing and messaging multiple times, only to be met with a poor attitude and accusations that were honestly offensive. Such a shame because I've always loved staying here. Convenient Central location, normally clean and friendly attentive staff. really sucks about the attitude of the manager though as The defensivness And poor attitude we're totally unnecessary. I was clearly too nice and willing to come to a resolution more than I should have. I did not yell. I did not carry on. I did not whinge and moan. I simply rang with a concern and asked to have it resolved with a fair compensation, nothing outlandish. Considering the extreme circumstances and the health risk this posed to my Family, I believe I could have been a lot more demanding and rightly pissed off. Thanks for the stay. I really wish it didn't end this way.

The location was perfect, room size and equipment was great, but the common facilities were average.
The potential is huge, with few changes and more hostel-oriented policies this venue could truly shine.
I suggest having an in-house laundry machine and drier, and for god’s sake lower the price of the items in the vending machine, the current ones are nonsense.
The kitchen was basically unfurnished and the rooms were not provided of a basket/box to easily move the personal kitchenware to and from the kitchen.
Close to light rail. I was in a room with king single bed. And not just a bar fridge but a large refrigerator. On top of fridge was a microwave. Even a kitchenette to use. Bed was very comfortable. Hanging space and drawers in rooms are also plentiful. Great bathroom.
Microwave was on top of fridge which was taller than me. I’m only 4 foot and 11 and 3 quarter inches in height which made it very difficult for cooking. I had to move the microwave closer and open the freezer door so I could use the microwave buttons. My suggestion: Pack yourself a footstool from K-Mart so that you are as short as me you’ll be able to use the microwave. No bed light supplied on table next to bed. Possibly an oversight by staff.
The location and the freedom that such venue offers are its strongest points.
Room was large although dusty as, and provided cutlery and plates were ok.
The kitchen was basically unfurnished and there was no common laundry machine nor vacuum cleaner.
Also, some guests were very disrespectful of the common areas and of the other guests.
