Room was perfect for one night, staff was very nice.
The parking spot was a 10 minute walk away in a public parking garage which made us feel very unsafe. In the end everything was fine but at first it was unpleasant. I wouldn’t feel safe alone as a woman in the night walking to my car/hotel with all of my luggage.
This hotel is very conveniently located not far from the centre of Sheffield. Nearby are plenty of shops to choose from, including a Waitrose supermarket and café, pubs, and the Moor Market which has a great array of stalls selling fresh produce as well as general non-food items, alongside a variety of eating places.
The hotel itself is, for the price, well presented and has decent facilties in the foyer. The staff are friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth and rapid. The room was clean with a comfortable bed with towelling provided. The bathroom had hand-wash and shower gel in fixed refillable containers with a pleasant aroma. There was a kettle provided along with two cups, accompanied by tea and coffee and sachets of sugar, sweetener, and milk. Also provided were decaffeinated versions of tea and coffee, which was thoughtful.
A restful place to stay in a very useful location.
Admittedly, the day was one of the hottest of the year, and the air conditioning appeared to struggle to keep the room at a temperature comfortable for myself. That might just be a personal preference, however. It should be noted that the windows are non-openable if that's of interest to those planning to stay.
