Rawabi Al Khobar Hotel

We had booked for 2 beds. On day of arrival, they switched us to 1 bed only. Had to argue to get them changed. Rooms were not clean. No towel. Got charged 1 day extra.

I am basically living in Rawabi Suites, as i am based in Saudi for work. I have lived in over 40 countries. The hotel looks impressive from a distance but the maintenance is shockingly bad. Yet again my room is flooded as they do not maintain the AC. The bathroom was flooded for 2 weeks, the staff told me to switch off the AC! Eventually they listened to me and cleaned the drainage pipe and the leak stopped. But they never bother to fix the water damage in the bathroom ceiling. Tonight the lounge full of water as this section of AC pipe is also blocked. Staff advised to switch off AC!!
The gym is so disappointing - virtually no equipment is available. The entire set of free weights disappeared months ago and staff said a resident took them….no action…no exercise. The swimming pool on the roof has NEVER worked in the last 6 months!! They said it is under maintenance.
The room i live in is expensive suite, but the carpet is heavily damaged and they have not replaced it. The bed is deformed from people sitting on one side, so uncomfortable. There are cigarette burns everywhere. There is no sink plug.

الحمام ليس نظيف ورائحه المجاري جدا واضحه المطبخ مو نظيف

Excellent location. Ideal for travelers. Nice restaurants and amenities just walking distance. Definitely I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is currently undergoing a major renovation of the lobby and other areas so take that into consideration. There is a rooftop pool, but that area is also undergoing renovation and is currently closed.

Pros:
The rooms are very clean, modern, spacious and worth the money spent to stay here. They are furnished nicely and there is plenty of storage space. As an American, used to american styled hotels, my room was quite large as compared to standard middle eastern accomodations.

There is a "kitchenette" area that is equipped with a sink, tea kettle, stand-up refrigerator and a two element hot plate/stove.

The bathroom is decently sized and equipped with modern fixtures and water pressure and temperature is great.

There is onsite parking in a garage located beneath the hotel that can be reached via the main elevators in the lobby and is wheel chair accessible.

Cons:
for $65/ (225 Sar) a night, there really aren't any. This place is a value and is in a great location that is within walking distance to a great number of restaurants and cafes. Two major malls; Al Rashid and Mall of Dhahran are just a short ride down the road as are a number of other shopping venues.

If I had to complain about anything it would be the lack larger windows in the rooms. There are only two small windows and even with the curtains drawn back, they are partially blocked and don't allow a lot of natural light to enter the room.

In good place, clean

One thing disappointing me that the hotel has no water heaters or it is not working.

I stayed for a night and it was amazing. Despite my booking was not appearing at their system due to some technical issues, the receptionist was flexible and offered me another room with the same price of Hotels.com

The location is just perfect. Many cafes and restaurants within walking distance.

Only one thing that I wish it was there (a snack bar). It would mean a lot since I arrived exhausted and needed a quick bite. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Highly recommended, very clean and close from the beach.

The property was clean and clearly renovated. The location was great. The communication with the manager was also great and he was responsive and willing to rectify any shortages.
