Loved the room, super cool modern layout and design. The bartender was very unfriendly then locked us outside by the fires even though she was still inside so we had to walk to the front to get back in. Very weird.
Great deal
Great location !! The hotel was very clean and staff extremely friendly. I used the fitness area and they had a good mix of equipment and everything was clean. Would stay again
Highly recommend
This is my second stay at this hotel and the same gentleman checked me in. William Novic is a gem. I am an ambassador Marriott member because of work travels and love this property. It’s 5 star in my opinion in terms of cleanliness, comfort and service. I will be staying here more often when I am in Pittsburgh. Thanks William for your genuine and kind spirit 🙏🙏🙏
Exceptional Stay at AC Hotel Pittsburgh Southpointe!
The AC Hotel in Southpointe is a gem! Its modern minimalist style is sleek and inviting, and everything about our stay was exceptional. The rooms were absolutely spotless—one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. The staff were genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful, making us feel welcome from check-in to check-out.
While the breakfast was a bit on the sparse side, it was fresh, convenient, and just what we needed to start the day. My husband and I come out to Washington, PA every year to pick up cattle, and staying here has become a must for us. The AC Hotel is truly a lifesaver—reliable, comfortable, and always a great experience. Highly recommend!
This is unbelievable……a live outdoor “concert” outside the front door? The music is loud and awful and the noise can be heard above the ac and the tv in our room. The floor is literally shaking. So much for a peaceful evening after a stressful day. Maybe it would have been a good idea to make people aware this was going to be happening BEFORE they made their reservations? I will never stay here again.
Very Clean - Modern better then some 5 Stars I have stayed at.
"AC" is a designer hotel concept being offered by Marriott. Not your usual Marriott room so be warned. The staff was very helpful and clearly proud of their property. After that though, it went downhill. "AC" presents a Euro-inspired minimalist, and very angular layout stressing form over function throughout. The awkward frosted sliding bathroom door transforms into a 40 square foot brightly illuminated wall...all night long... The flat bottomed bathroom sink is square and @ 4" deep rendering it remarkably useless. The rectangular toilet seat leaves you wondering if you're aren't supposed to be sharing it with a friend. In the end, this trendy Euro design proves dysfunctional despite the best efforts of the staff to compensate.
PS: I wish someone had warned us before booking about the ongoing construction ongoing on the 2nd and 3rd floors as someone builds out office space there. At 7am construction began with a very loud jackhammer starting right under us. Talk about a wake up call...
Complementary breakfast
There is ongoing construction in the building on a floor not owned by the hotel, which results in loud banging noises stated early in the morning. Unfortunately, the hotel has limited control over the situation. I would recommend avoiding this hotel until the construction is completed.
This property is made for the younger generation and business travelers. Really didnt like sink in the bedroom and the automatic lights.
Nicely designed, modern and minimalist. Extremely clean and well maintained. The only thing I didn’t like was the sliding glass door to the bathroom. Offers no privacy.
The modern look was nice, the rooms and the waiting area was nice. The area was very nice.
Everything was accessible, within walking distance
The only reason why I didn’t give a 5 stars is because when I checked in they asked if I want turn down service and I said yes but nobody came to tidy up the room. I only stayed 3 nights so I didn’t need any more towels than they already provided me and I was able to redo the bed quickly myself but if he asked and I said yes I would have appreciated it to be done.
Other than that the staff was so professional and friend. The hotel was very clean, luxurious and fabulous. The room layout was interesting with the sink being in the middle but I’m alone so I don’t mind. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend. Also, the breakfast in the morning was delicious, especially the bacon and waffles (eaten separately haha).
Property was very clean and presentable.
