Met my expectations and I will be back.
Pros:

I had dinner and a couple of beers. The meal was well presented and tasty. Friendy staff with a special mention of the security guard that was on duty. A well mannered and helpful guy. Such a change from the usual security personnel who I have meet in the past. Will be back when next visiting Melbourne.

Cons:

Nothing really, just a pleasant experience.

The room was clean and beds very comfortable. The lady at reception was lovely and let us have late check out (11am) at no extra cost. Also loved the complimentary drink cards and discount vouchers for club.

We got locked out prior to 10 am. I had done 1 run to the car and was heading back to get the rest of our stuff and we were already locked out of the gate. No mention upon check in that this would happen. Very poor experience.

Unreasonable Time Restrictions and Lack of Empathy
Pros:

The room itself was reasonably clean and acceptable for a short stay.
The location was convenient for our travel plans.

Cons:

The lack of flexibility with check-in was extremely disappointing. We arrived around 1:30 PM, only 30 minutes before the official check-in time, and despite travelling with a two-month-old baby, we were made to wait in the parking area until exactly 2:00 PM. There was no consideration or empathy shown by staff.
The checkout process was poorly handled. While loading our luggage (we had multiple bags as we were travelling for several days), I had to make a second trip due to the rooms being accessible only by stairs. At 10:01 AM, my room key was deactivated, locking me out. I had to wait for a cleaner to assist me, which was frustrating and unnecessary.
Overall, the experience felt rigid, unwelcoming, and lacking basic hospitality, particularly for families.
Final thoughts:
This stay was far below expectations. Policies were enforced without any common sense or customer care. I would not stay here again and do not recommend it, especially for families with young children.
