Casa al Sole was an incredible place to stay—Manuel and Alexandra made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. The property is beautifully renovated with a design that feels both cozy and modern, and every detail is thoughtfully maintained. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with delicious options, different croissant fillings every day, and excellent jams and butter. As skiers, we especially appreciated the immaculate ski room with heated boot racks so our boots were warm and ready each morning. The lounge area is very comfortable for relaxing after a day on the slopes, and the spacious parking area made everything easy. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and having laundry service available (for a small fee) was very helpful after long ski days. Manuel and Alexandra also gave fantastic local recommendations for restaurants and ski parking, which made the trip even better. And of course, Jack—their adorable Australian Shepherd—was the cutest mascot.

Manuel and Alexandra are the soul of Casa al Sole. Casa al Sole felt like home for our week of skiing--the breakfasts were amazing, the happy hours were very happy, and the honors bar made us feel at home. The ski gear room was handy, and the location was great for skiing the Sellaronda and for apres town access. We greatly appreciated the ample onsite parking. Manuel provided fantastic culinary direction for dinners, and Alexandra was a wealth of information for outdoor adventures. They made our vacation in Ortisei special, and we look forward to returning.

Unser Aufenthalt im Casa al Sole in St. Ulrich war wirklich etwas Besonderes. Schon bei der Ankunft spürt man, mit wie viel Herz dieser Ort geführt wird. Das Haus ist modern gestaltet und gleichzeitig unglaublich gemütlich – viel echtes Holz, Filz und natürliche Materialien sorgen dafür, dass alles warm, wohnlich und überhaupt nicht kühl wirkt.
Der Service war sensationell. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Besonders begeistert hat uns das servierte Frühstück: eine außergewöhnliche Auswahl, alles sehr hochwertig und unglaublich lecker.
Auch die eigene Bar im Haus ist ein tolles Detail – perfekt, um den Tag entspannt ausklingen zu lassen.
Die Lage ist ebenfalls ideal. Sehr zentral mit schnellem Zugang zu Skigebieten und Restaurants. Wir sind die Sella Ronda gefahren – mit dem Auto ist man in wenigen Minuten in Wolkenstein, alternativ gibt es auch eine gute Busverbindung. Auch die Seiser Alm ist von hier aus sehr gut erreichbar.
Ein besonderer Ort mit viel Atmosphäre und echter Gastfreundschaft. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

The service was great, breakfast was delicious and the rooms are modern and clean. The staff and owners are very kind, warm and helpful. They gave gave us daily good advice which was really helpful.

Everything about the place is immaculate. Fabulous classy details in the decor. Very contemporary despite the history from the 30’s. Everything felt ‘new’! Very sensible prices given the position and quality. We loved the fact that there is no TV in the room! The breakfast is amazing , creative and always used ingredients with the best local provenance. Evening apperitivi, liquid or solid, are right up there and priced correctly. All the ‘team’ were fabulous.
The STARS of the SHOW are however undoubtedly, Manuel and Alexandra and of course JACK the dog! All 3 of them are lovely creatures and are clearly born to ‘please’. Funny, courteous, interesting and helpful, they are a phenomenal team that will make your stay here unforgettable.

The property was well maintained, a great location, and made to feel cozy. The owners had amazing reviews of hikes and places to eat. Our stay wouldn’t have been nearly as memorable without her recommendations! The breakfast was great and they made sure you were served something you liked. It was nice to come back and have wine on the patio after hiking. The area was gorgeous. The hotel also gives out free public bus transportation tickets which is nice to have if hiking from one city to another! If we ever come back to the area, we will definitely stay here and would recommend to all of our friends and family.
