Perfect for families with kids but a little challenging for seniors
Pros:

Great location for the cruise terminal.
Huge room in the traditional building. Like the privacy of the departure sleeping spaces.
Since we were only there one night, didn’t use the extensive kitchen facilities, but would be great for AC extended visit.
Walkable to the beach and restaurants.

Cons:

The room would be perfect for young couples and kids. The beds were very low for seniors. As were the seating options.

Need blackout curtains! There was no way to make the room dark at night.

Pros:

Excellent stay at Rolo Beach Hotel in Fort Lauderdale! We wanted a comfortable hotel near the beach and restaurants. We found the Rolo hotel and did a quick in-person check of the facility and got a tour of a room. It's a boutique hotel and the room they had available was a junior suite in the updated building (their building next door isn't updated as much so I would definitely pick the main updated building. My wife was surprised at how spacious it was, the layout and conveniences of a full mini kitchen. Everything looked brand new and very clean. The cost was only ~$30 more than a standard king so we took it for one night to keep our options open. After we settled in we almost immediately decided to extend out stay there for two more nights - great move!

They also have a nice little pool area where we hung out a couple times. The location is great too. We were just a couple blocks from the beach action and a number of restaurants and coffee shops in the immediate area. There are fantastic dining options in this location including the Wine Garden (such a cool vibe, live music and good food - a true hidden gem), the Village Cafe (excellent food and atmosphere).

We would stay at the Rolo Beach Hotel again without hesitation.

Cons:

Pros:

We enjoyed the Ping-pong table and sitting on the shared balcony in the morning. Nice to have a few coffee capsules ready for use.

Cons:

The building is a bit dated and not soundproof (we had to use earplugs to cope with the crying baby next door). The kitchen was OK but lacked proper drinking glasses.

Excellent hotel!!! Excellent staff at the reception. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos, but everything really looks just like in the pictures. I stayed in a room in the renovated building, the one that's blue in the photos. Everything was very clean, the only thing was a slight chemical smell coming from the bed, but it wasn't noticeable with the air conditioning on. The ocean is literally only 5 minutes away. Excellent location! Peaceful and quiet!

Отличный отель !!! Прекрасный персонал на ресепшен. К сожалению не сделал фото , но всё выглядит действительно так как на фото . Жил в номере в здании где сделан ремонт , оно на фото голубое . Всё очень чисто , единственное это был запах какой то химии от кровати , но при включенном кондиционере его не чувствовалось.
До океана буквально 5 минут. Отличное место ! Тишина!

Descripción tal cual a cómo es el alojamiento, personal amable, excelente ubicación caminable a la playa, habitación muy funcional y acorde al precio.

Cons:

El aire acondicionado un poco ruidoso en la habitación del edificio antiguo, pero entendible considerando que arrendé sabiendo que era la habitación antigua. Conocí las nuevas y era impecable.

Cons:

Walls paper thin. Had to have curtains drawn at all times due to people walking to office and pool. If open could see right into room. Grocery store not close. Restaurants about 3-4 blocks away. Limited number of restaurants.
