Old building renovated.
Entered room--cupboard door off and on top of fridge. No garbage can anywhere.
The AC was broken, and we were never told that. When the room finally reached 82 degrees, I went to the front desk. They new the AC was out. He said it was getting hotter because we turned on the AC and it was pumping in heat. No one informed us of the problem when we checked in. Guy said he'd look for a box fan. I would have tried that, but I said the hotel really needed to inform guests. He just kept saying, "What do you want me to do?". He missed the point. He said twice, "My room is hot too." He eventually said, "What do you want me to do? Refund your room." Yep, that's what we did and stayed in a place 2 minutes away that was not hot and getting hotter. It had the same amenities and was in better condition.
We will not try this hotel again.
I left 5-10 minutes into it the room was unclean and I have a video and pictures of it the tv didn’t work the place over all is a no stars period I had to come back the next day for my money to be returned in 5-7 days smh
Too noisy and it felt unsafe
Front desk very rude and unfriendly
They allowed me to book online, when i got there no rooms were available. The guy at the front desk was Very Rude and displayed horrible customer service. He wouldnt even answer the phone for me to receive a refund. The parking lot was also very unorganized and i found it difficult to find a parking spot. Ill never waste my time with this place again.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE…. Staff was alright, but the room 👎. I told the front desk that it was cold, she stated that she would send maintenance…………still waiting…………hour goes by….so I walked to the front desk, she’s on her phone!!! I asked, “so nobody’s gonna fix the heat”? O he never came, let me call.. why call when it’s almost check out. I had to get in the shower to warm the room up. Shower did not work well, you had to have it on power spray in order to get water, door looked as if it has been kicked in.. comforter had stains and I mean big stains. If I was a reviewer, they would be SHUT DOWN!!!!
Room did not have any ac or heat. Shower had broken door.
Bed linen had stains, no trash can in the bathroom, no Kleenex in the room. The air conditioner didn't work real well.
Don't believe any of the better reviews. This place is HORRIBLE! After 3 rooms that didn't have AC, were dirty and stained, not to mention the smell, we left for the Red Roof Inn next door. The staff is extremely rude and hangs up the phone when calling about a refund. I had to dispute the charges through my credit card company. Do yourself a favor and run from this place. It's just TERRIBLE!
Safe place
Overall this property has gone down inside and outside. Little children are playing in the parking lot and throwing rocks at people's cars with no supervision at all. People hanging out in the parking lot, the hotel has strong weed smell throughout the entire building. It used to be a nice and pleasant hotel but not now, it's considered to be run down shack.
Would give 0 stars if I could. It’s the former Eastin Hotel and the rooms were windowless, no bed skirt on the bed, and room was dirty. Couldn’t tell if there were bugs or food on the floor. Was checked out less than 30 minutes after checking in.
Everything was great except the breakfast . There was only waffles and you had to be checked in by a rude lady who watched everyone like they were in time out.
Horrible place to stay!! Avoid!! If you book a room using Expedia they (the hotel) will charge you an extra $100 upon check in!! Nowhere is that listed on the Expedia app. I brought it to the “Manager’s” attention and asked him to show me where it states there will be an additional $100 fee upon arrival, he couldn’t. He then called the Police on me saying that I was making a “scene”.
I had a very relaxing stay at Suburban Suites. Bill, the front desk attendant, was very polite, professional and accommodating. I was able to check-in at 1:00 rather than 3:00. I would absolutely go back for another stay.
The lock on our room door had no safety plate so the lock was exposed on the hallway side. Carpets were filthy. The check in person had to use 2 computers and it took 20 minutes to get us checked. I had to sign a no refund agreement before she would give us our room key card. I requested a refund because it was not safe to stay there and neither the hotel or Expedia will give me a refund.
I had a very pleasant stay. Tony at front desk was very polite & professional. He help me with directions. I would stay again. Tony was helpful. Ty
It’s amazing how a few employees can make or break a business. In this case the employees here break a business. The location was convenient off the highway. As we drive up under the canopy, late in the evening, we see two people standing outside the door (next to the no smoking sign) smoking. The man, wearing black shorts, black t-shirt, black vest and black tennis shoes rudely shouts over to us asking if we were looking for a room. We replied that we have a reservation. He loudly huffs, rolls his eyes and clearly wasn’t happy that we interrupted his cigarette break. We all go inside and he sets his cigarette and lighter down on the counter where we are signing our paperwork. He never welcomes us or acknowledges that we are choice members. James quickly had us sign our registration paperwork, told us our room number and was headed back out the door. No Wi-Fi information, breakfast? Heck, we don’t even really know if he worked here with the lack of choice hotel attire and identification. We went back to our car and we were out there about 15 minutes and he was still outside smoking when we had to go through their smoking area to get to the door.
Another guest pulled up as we walked in and she encountered the same experience as we did. When we arrived at our suite on the third floor we discovered it was a sauna. The air conditioner was completely turned off and it was 84 degrees! (see photo). It took so long to cool down so that we could even sleep. At 10 am it was finally down to 69 degrees. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The bed was supposed to be a king, but it was a queen but it was comfortable and once it started to cool down we sleep well. It was difficult to watch TV in the bedroom because it was so far away from the bed. There wasn’t a stand in the room for your suitcase. It was pointless to call downstairs to the front desk for any of these issues because no one was at the front desk and it was midnight. It wasn’t going to get resolved.
The bathroom was nice and spacious. The shower had good water pressure but nowhere to put your shampoo and things. There was only one garbage can and that was in the bathroom. The kitchenette was nice and the refrigerator and freezer was a nice size. They provided a toaster and a coffee maker; however there were no outlets on the counter to plug these items in. (see photo). Also at the table and along that wall, there were no outlets to plug a laptop into. There were basically no outlets to plug into anywhere in this room.
We probably missed breakfast, if there was a breakfast not knowing what time it was. My husband went down for coffee and it was empty. He mentioned it to the lady at the desk and she said she would get more. We came back down 30 minutes later to check out and there still wasn’t any coffee. She said she was too busy to do coffee because too busy with checkouts. She also didn’t have any identification on and when my husband first spoke to her he wasn’t even sure if she worked there.
All in all, the hotel itself was fine. It’s clean and comfortable. If it wasn’t for the employee’s lack of care in their jobs and service it would be a much better hotel. First impressions when you pull up set the mood. Not being made to feel welcome, walking into a room that is 84 degrees is ridiculous and a hotel not having coffee for morning guests is just a complete failure.
This hotel was not at all what I expected from an Extended Stay. The rooms had no windows. We booked 2 rooms and one was for my adult daughter. Her room didn't have the bracket on the door. The wood was splintered where it should have been, as if someone kicked the door in. The walls are very thin so you can hear conversations in the next room. Then there was a night where two ppl were arguing extremely loud and violently in the hall. Doors shouting, banging on doors, name calling, it was ridiculous. We were on the 3rd floor and the stairway is open & next to the front desk so I know someone heard it. Yet, no one from the hotel staff came to intervene. Most of the staff was pleasant and professional but there was one guy who worked at the front desk who walked on the back of his shoes & shorts hanging off and did not look like he should be the first contact with guests. I will never go back to this hotel and I definitely won't recommend to anyone.
It was ok
