Nice, comfortable hotel in the heart of Kyoto Kawaramachi.
Pros:

Modern, western-stye hotel but with Japanese amenities, cleanliness and hospitality. Staff is efficient and respectful.

Cons:

Room was good but bed against the wall is not super convenient for two sleepers. Breakfast buffet was quite good, not deluxe.

位於熱鬧商圈，逛街購物很方便，樓下就是京都河原町站公車站牌，離京都市役所前站走路約7-8分鐘，離錦市場、sousou一條街、進進堂走路5-6分鐘，是很棒的住宿地點。

Cons:

樓下逛街人潮眾多，嬉鬧聲大概要到11-12點，還有呼嘯而過的汽機車噪音，如果能加裝氣密窗隔絕噪音的話應該能得到更高的評價。

On the positive side, the location is excellent. The hotel is within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and several temples, which made exploring Kyoto very convenient. The amenities were good, and the mattress was comfortable, providing a good night’s sleep after long days of sightseeing.

Cons:

There are a few areas that could use improvement. The breakfast was disappointing—items like scrambled eggs and fruits need significant improvement, and I would not recommend including breakfast with your stay. The staff could also be more flexible and helpful. I had an important document that needed printing, and unfortunately, the request was declined without much assistance.

Additionally, the pillows were not very comfortable and could benefit from a more ergonomic design. Storage is limited, as there are no shelves for clothes, so you’ll likely need to keep everything in your suitcase. Lastly, the room size is quite small, and with the bed placed against the wall, it becomes inconvenient after a couple of days.

In summary, while the location and basic comfort are strong points, improvements in service, breakfast quality, and room functionality would significantly enhance the overall experience.

Beautiful rooms, nice staff, great location.
Pros:

The property is in a busy touristic area, conveniently located near shops and restaurants. We did not hear any noise from our room. We were 4 people so basically they give you connecting rooms which is great because having 2 bathrooms was a plus. The room was beautiful and clean. A bit small but it was fine for us. Lots of amenities and I loved how they have a charger for your phone you can use. They also give you free water bottles in the room and free coffee in the lobby. The only thing I thought it was petty for an expensive hotel was that our room was ready at 2pm but the wanted to charge about US$15 to check in 1 hour early!!! We were already paying close to $500 a night (busy season). So we left our bags and came back later.

Cons:

The extra charge before 3pm even if the room is ready they won’t let you in unless you pay extra. In our case only 1 hr prior to official check in.

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage mit vielen Annehmlichkeiten. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist uns der herausragende Service, durch den wir uns eher wie in einem vier-/Fünf-Sterne-Hotel gefühlt haben.
Es war ein toller Aufenthalt in Kyoto und ein schönes Hotel, in dem wir nach aufregenden Tagen hervorragende entspannen konnten.

Pros:

The hotel was fantastic. It was very central and close to many things, but was also quiet and refined when you entered the rooms. Had a great view out our window at a nearby temple and the nearby market.
