Perfect location!
Pros:

Location, location, location! Very convenient to go to popular sightseeing places in Kyoto.

Cons:

The room was small for 4 of us (connecting 2 small rooms), but we managed fine.

Pros:

We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and I chose it again for this trip.

It was enough space for us in the room. And it had all we needed. On 6th floor there are washing machines and microwaves.

Very good location, a lot of cafes and restaurants and shops nearby. And of course, it is close to main tourist attractions.

Great value for solo travelers or couples
Pros:

The location is ideal, right along a busy commercial street, and not far from major train stations. Bathroom etc. was satisfactory, and getting in and out (as well as holding bags) was very easy.

Cons:

The room was a bit small but this is true of all hotels in this price range.

Excellent value for money, spacious rooms, and located conveniently from the subway!
Pros:

The room I got was the Musse room located at 9th Storey, the tallest level of the building. Here's what's great about the room:
- Extremely spacious for the price, easily twice the size of a regular hotel room.
- The bathroom and bedroom area is separated by a sliding door that you can slide back and forth to partition the two areas.
- Some amenities, such as bath salts, are paid items for other floors but free for those staying at level 9.

Cons:

Some things to note:
- Hotel does not provide toothbrush and shavers within the rooms. Remember to take what you need from level 2. There's quite a few selection including combs, hair clips and even ear plugs.
- The two lifts will always makes a pit stop at level 2 (the check-in lobby) first if you're going up from or down towards ground level.
- There are only 3 Coin-Operated Laundry washing machines (2 at level 6, 1 at level 5) but you can check whether they're being used from your TV. They only accept coins and there is no coin exchange machine nearby except for level 5 which is beside a drinks vending machine so you can probably get a drink if you need spare change for the laundry. During peak periods such as Sunday evenings, expect the laundry to be fully booked most of the time. Or you can do late-night 2am laundry like me haha!
