Solaria Hotel

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Solaria Hotel in Hanoi. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond I honestly don’t think they could have done more to assist us. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made all the difference.

A very special thank-you to Tamila, who helped us with everything from clothing alterations to a last-minute shoe repair…she was incredible. Susan was also absolutely dynamite and really looked out for us during our stay. They arranged our trip to and from Ha Long Bay making that planning exceptionally easy and even stored our luggage that we didnt want to take with us.

The breakfast was outstanding and be sure to catch a sunset view with a cocktail on the rooftop bar!

The service here is simply exceptional, and we felt cared for every step of the way. Highly recommend the Solaria Hotel! We would absolutely stay again!

Located in the Old Quarter, this hotel is ideally situated for anyone wishing to enjoy the most beautiful parts of the city by foot. The staff could not be more helpful, they are so attentive and sincere with everything they do. They have this ability to make everyone feel so welcome without it feeling forced or over bearing.

The rooms are on the smaller side, but are so well appointed and maintained that this hardly matters at all.

The rooftop bar is an awesome spot to escape the hustle and bustle, and just relax with one of their cocktails.

The spa is also very very good. If you get the chance, you should definitely book a spa experience, you won't regret it.

The hotel also arranges a cooking class through their partnership with the restaurant below, Mia's. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience. It's a must try for anyone visiting Hanoi.

Amazing location right in the heart of Hanoi's old quarter. The staff were wonderful, informative and kind. Their restaurant Mia was an absolute delight, a must for dinner, then head back upstairs to the rooftop bar to gaze over the city, with a cocktail in hand. This hotel is a little gem and well worth checking into.

We stayed at the Solaria for 3 nights and found it to be the perfect place to start our extended trip to Vietnam. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the room was very comfortable and the food was excellent. The hotel is also ideally located to explore the Old Quarter and the French Quarter on foot. We will certainly stay there again the next time we visit Hanoi.

After our arrival in Vietnam we were allowed to spend the first days in Hanoi at the Solaria Hotel. We had a wonderful stay and felt insanely comfortable. The hotel and the service were just great. A fantastic and unbeatable location right in the heart of city centre in the Old Quarter. A short walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and retails shops and the serene beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake, which is a popular spot among locals and tourists. The Sky Bar on the rooftop offers delicious food and awesome views too! A must visit when staying at the hotel.

Hotel itself is cozy and comfortable. What makes it stands out is their staff’s impeccable service, namely Susan, Daria, Grace, Lily and Cheese. From the day we checked in to our check out on the last day, we received the most wonderful and amazing service. The customer service staff were super friendly, welcoming, attentive and informative too, sharing helpful insights with us regarding Hanoi. On our last day, Susan and Daria even gifted us with a complimentary dessert and farewell gift. Truly commendable and impressive! A big kudos to Susan and team, you are truly the stars of Solaria Hotel! We can’t thank you all enough for making our stay a special and memorable experience.

I highly recommend Solaria Hanoi Hotel to anyone planning to visit Hanoi. Couldn’t fault anything and their level of service is one class above. A true gem in Hanoi.

This is the only hotel I’ll stay at in the Old Quarter. The location is perfect. You walk outside and you’re already close to the best food, shops and places to explore. What made this stay unforgettable was the staff, especially Susan Pham. I emailed the hotel about a month before my trip, and she helped us from that very first message. Two women traveling alone for three weeks can get a little nervous, but she checked on us the whole time, even when we were in other cities and no longer at the hotel. That kind of kindness is rare. She booked our three nights at the hotel, our day trip to Ninh Binh and a three-day, two-night Ha Long Bay cruise. Everything went smoothly and we never had to worry about a thing. The front desk team was just as thoughtful. When Susan was off, they packed snacks for our long rides by bus and car. When it was time for us to leave, Susan walked us to the car, handed us more sandwiches and gave me the sweetest hug. It honestly felt like leaving family. I didn’t experience one single downside during my stay. The hotel, the staff and the level of care were all outstanding. If you’re thinking about staying in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, this is the place. Don’t hesitate.

We have just checked out after spending 4 nights at the Solaria Hotel and could not recommend it highly enough. To say the customer service is brilliant is an understatement. I had been in contact via email in the lead-up as it was my partner's 50th birthday while we were in Hanoi. Mr Liam was super responsive and nothing was too hard for him to organise. The awesome service also translated to all of the hotel staff we met once we were there. They went above and beyond, and pre-empted our needs. But beyond that, they seemed genuinely friendly and keen to ensure we enjoyed Hanoi in our own style. We organised transfers through them, as well as a private tour to Ninh Binh for a day. It made things so smooth and easy. The location was great for our needs, being first time tourists. We initially got our bearings on one of the double-decker hop on hop off buses, thrn after that got around easily on foot or via taxis/Grabs. We are looking forward to our next destination, but also a little sad to be leaving the Solaria crew behind.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Solaria! It's no exaggeration to say every element was just perfect - beautifully appointed rooms, incredible staff, a cool rooftop, and a fantastic spa (we enjoyed a couple of treatments and everything was 10/10!). A special thank you Ms Daria who always greeted us with a huge smile and made us feel so warmly welcomed. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Hanoi - I wouldn't consider anywhere else. Cảm ơn! 😊

Our room was just right for us! We absolutely loved the breakfast buffet with options to choose from the menu. We loved how they rotated their buffet options daily. The massage and spa was relaxing. It was easy to get your clothes laundered and returned back the same day! The staff was the best part!!! They were so accommodating and friendly, thoughtful and such a delight. Most big chain hotels may offer more or pride themselves on the materialistic matter of the industry but Solaria offers a soulful part that other hotels are lacking. If you come to Hanoi, this is a great choice!!

The Solaria hotel is a wonderful place to stay - it has a great location so close to the lake and the beautiful cathedral in the old quarters. The hotel is self is fresh and modern with lovely rooms and the breakfast is delicious with great options. The highly above all of those amazing things were the staff. Daria, Sophie and the team were so kind and welcoming and always so happy to help with information for day trips and places to eat and drink. We would definitely stay again when we come back to Vietnam next.

This is our second time staying at Solaria Hotel, and we’re still impressed. Great staff, a fantastic location, and a truly sumptuous breakfast.
