Great introduction to the Yorkshire Dales
Pros:

Superb location with views to die for at the front. Very quiet village with pub in the middle. Nice walks around so lots of passing visitors. Staff were all very friendly as were the locals. Breakfast was excellent with locally sourced bacon and sausage. Had an evening meal each evening and a bottle of wine. Not a huge menu but everything was well cooked and good portions. Plenty choice with specials board. Wine was reasonably priced although lager was much more expensive than home. Our twin room was at the back and overlooked the extractors which was unfortunate as view behind was lovely. Beds were very comfortable. Refreshments were also very good, of good quality and plentiful. Nice shower cubicle and lovely big towels. Everywhere was very clean for an older building like this.

Cons:

Shower was a very fickle although it looked fairly new. Worked ok until last night when it was fine for my husband but refused to get to warm for me. The cistern on the toilet used to start running at night and was a little annoying for a light sleeper like me.
