Overall, it was pleasant experience.
Pros:

The friendliness of the staff was top notch!

Cons:

The destination fee was offensive even if you ate at their restaurant and bar. When I booked the trip through Booking.com, that was to include ALL taxes and fees!! Then we get to the hotel and you say you will charge us the destination fee per day! We stayed three days. I complained to the manager, and she removed the fees'. Thank-you! That made all the difference in our stay. It was a matter of PRINCIPLE! The minute we got there and checked in we were told of the extra destination fee. What a BAD way to start out our stay!

Good but not great service.
Pros:

Great location -good music in bars and restaurant areas-

Cons:

The “surprise” $18 destination fee. I was up charged for Tito’s vodka even though I didn’t order it for two drinks in bar. No housekeeping even though I had no sign on my door. Valets seemed lazy and didn’t help with doors when I was handling my luggage alone.

Great location on the Riverwalk with easy walk to the Alamo, Briscoe Western Museum, and market square. It has a riverside restaurant with a second bar on the 3rd floor. Valet parking available, or less expensive parking nearby. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. Checking in was fast and efficient. Everything was clean.

Cons:

$70 a day for the on-site valet parking seems a bit excessive, but it was my choice.

Wish I could have stayed longer ❤️
Pros:

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful ❤️ The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was roomy and had plenty of shower supplies, towel and washcloths. I love the tiles in the shower - very spa-like.

Cons:

The parking situation. The only option for parking is valet for $70. We parked in a Houston Street Garage (a block away) for free ADA/HDCP parking, standard parking there is $10 for 24 hours.

Short walks to all the sites you want to see in San Antonio.
Pros:

Location is excellent right on the riverwalk. Nice restaurant with lots of good food. The staff are great and they are very generous with cold water.

Cons:

Cement floors take a little getting used to. Slow elevators.
