Location is great, close to where you want to be but away from the crowds

The room was very dark

Beautiful stay in Kyoto
Pros:

We were a couple with two young children (5,2) The room was beautiful and convenient , the staff was kind, the breakfast was lovely we loved starting each morning in the breakfast room which was peaceful and also beautiful and it was very tasty. Great location in a beautiful area close walk to the river and Nishiki Market. It was amazing to start our trip in Japan at this beautiful Machiya.
