Raíces is a very basic, rustic hotel.
Pros:

To be very honest , the photos do not reflect the actual hotel. It was not the right fit for us. However, the next morning, the very professional staff offered to move us to their new hotel Tierra Marina . We switched hotels which was a much better fit. Tierra Marina is just a block away, new, comfortable and with an elevator. Staff in both hotels are excellent.
Raíces might be great for younger people.

Excelentte ubicacíon frente a la plaza y a unas cuadras del malecón, el cual estuvo perfecto para salir a caminar super temprano ☺️ Me gustaron las instalaciones, la alberca y todo muy limpio

Cons:

Que nos dijeron no habia desayuno en el horario que indicaba la reserva

Great location, eclectic hotel, great staff. Rooms are comfortable.
Pros:

Hotel staff helped me with parking and finding laundry facilities. Always friendly to talk to. I needed to extend my stay 4 nights and the owner accommodated me.

Cons:

There is construction on the kitchen which can be noisy. No hot water one morning but there was a storm overnight. Related? Internet was flaky at times, in and out but good speed.

Fantastyczny czas, na pewno wrócę do Mazatlan

Atmosfera tego miejsca, to wyjątkowy dom, najstarszy w Mazatlan. W przestrzeni budynku jest kolekcja sztuki, rzeźby, jest taras gdzie można odpocząć Wszystko urządzone z gustem, w pięknym stylu. W pobliżu hotelu są muzea, targ, plaża, bary. Obsługa hotelu przemiła, pomocna.

Cons:

Było trochę hałasu bo trwa renowacja hotelu.

Buena estancia, recibes lo que pagas, tiene detalles pero sin duda mi estancia fue muy agradable

La ubicación excelente, el hotel es pequeño pero bonito, la atención del personal brillante, en especial de Armando, muchas gracias.

Cons:

Urge que insonoricen las habitaciones, si eres de sueño ligero aunque con tapones de ruido no podrás dormir, además de ser muy incómodo escuchar todo lo que tus vecinos de habitación hacen.

My stay at Hotel Raíces de Mar completely met my expectations for a boutique hotel right in the Plazuela Machada. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was perfect! The small soaking pool was refreshing and I enjoyed exploring el Centro from the doorstep.
