My daughter and I went on this trip for rejuvenation and emotional recovering., reunion celebration., From the moment we arrived, I knew this wouldn't be like any other hotel experience, and it absolutely wasn't. The calmness and tranquility. The peacefulness we ALL need to deal with everyday life., it's here!
A break from the mundane or stress, the peacefulness here, from the atmosphere each employee we dealt with radiated calm and peace. I have never had such an experience. Hands down, I believe everyone should experience this type of peace and tranquility., and if you need the BEST Avacodo toast, you definitely must have theirs (says My daughter)

We've stayed at quiet mind retreat a few times. We love this place, it's a beautiful places to relax and get away from the city. Staff always friendly and helpful. We will be definitely going back.

Ruhig gelegen oberhalb des Sees. Wir hatten eine schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf den See. Die Zimmeraustattung war gut, das Bett für uns etwas zu klein (Queensize). Frühstück war nicht besonders abwechslungsreich, aber ausreichend. Man hätte gegen Aufpreis verschiedene vegetarische Speisen dazu bestellen können.
Personal war sehr freundlich.

I went in not knowing what I was walking into & I have to tell you … this was the BEST decision I’ve ever made !!! The property , the views , the service , the treatment…. All top notch !!!
BEST experience of my life … I didn’t want to leave ! Sarah and her crew ( private chef , massage therapist , cleaning crew , yoga instructor…… everyone was over the top kind !!
I live a pretty busy life , own my own business , have a 9yr old daughter ( going on 18 ) , married , volunteer for many charities … you name it , I do it! To be able to hide away at such a magical place was well overdue !
If I had to describe this place in so many words , I would say … “ A hidden 💎 gem … Heaven on Earth…. It not only has peace and tranquility…. It will leave you feeling like you are a queen/ling … like you’re a celebrity living your best life ( while being able to be away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life !
I cannot wait to go back to the property and lavish in the treatments and the beauty of what they have to offer !
When I returned home and was back out in the limelight… friends , family & even stranger would stop me and say … wow you look so refreshed … like your living your best life ! What’s your secret … so I told them about the resort ! I’ve met so many people this last two weeks that I’ve shared with & given them all the info! One lady that stoppped me at a juice store to compliment me actually said … wow because of meeting you and hearing your story , I’m going to put this on my bucket list ! So heartwarming ❤️
Hope each of you that reads this does yourself the favor of booking your next trip to the resort ! Next time you have plans to go to Vegas , or go on vacation to party with friends …. Remember this place …. Relax , refresh , restart your whole mind set and body ! I promise you will thank me later !

Had a really great stay at Quiet Mind Retreat in Julian. The room was clean and comfortable, and the whole place felt super peaceful—perfect if you’re looking to unplug and reset. The views are beautiful, especially around sunrise and sunset.

The food was good and well-prepared. Staff were friendly and helpful without being overbearing, which I appreciated.

I also really enjoyed the free meditation class and spending time in the meditation area—it added a lot to the experience. For the experience of resetting, it feels like a great value

Quiet Mind is a Gem in Julian.

Overall, a relaxing and worthwhile stay. I’d definitely come back.

We had such a beautiful, relaxing experience at Quiet Mind. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt peaceful and grounding. The lake views from the room were absolutely stunning—waking up to that alone made the stay worth it.

The spa amenities were a huge highlight. The sauna, massages, and overall space were thoughtfully designed to help you truly unwind. Everything felt clean, intentional, and calming.

The food was also amazing—fresh, nourishing, and clearly made with care. It really added to the whole experience of feeling taken care of.

But what stood out the most was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making the stay special. That level of warmth is hard to find and made a big difference.

If you’re looking for a place to reset, relax, and be surrounded by beauty, I’d definitely recommend Quiet Mind.

Quiet Mind is the perfect location to rest and recharge. For years, I continue to return for weekend visits through different times of year. The views are scenic, and the place is peaceful and quiet. The entire pace slows down when I walk through the doors there. The staff are very warm, accommodating, and kind. Spa treatments and the jacuzzi top it off. Much gratitude for this place and the beings who work there.

Stayed here for 2 nights during the week and it ended up being exactly the kind of reset I was hoping for.

It’s definitely more of a quiet retreat than a typical hotel. The mornings were especially peaceful — We got up early one day and just sat outside with coffee looking toward the lake, and it was completely still with just birds around.

The room was clean and comfortable. Not overly fancy, but well maintained and easy to settle into. We slept really well both nights.

We booked a massage during my stay and that was a highlight. It felt unhurried and genuinely relaxing. We also chose to eat on property instead of going out, and the meals were better than we expected — simple, fresh, and clearly made with care.

Staff were friendly and available when needed, but also gave space, which we appreciated.

One small thing to note is that if you want to walk down to the lake you do have to cross the road, so it’s a bit easier to just drive over.

Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet place to slow down and disconnect for a couple days, it does that really well. I’d stay again.

We spent over $1,800 on a two-night stay at Quiet Minds Retreat, and what followed was one of the most unprofessional and disturbing experiences we’ve ever had.

The retreat failed to deliver on what was advertised, including “gourmet meals,” which were far below that standard. The situation escalated when staff members identified to us as Sarah and Adam accused us of being intoxicated and “threatening”—claims that are completely untrue and were never substantiated. In reality, we were attempting to address concerns about the quality of services from the start of our stay.

We were also told that Sarah was the only manager on-site. However, subsequent information indicates discrepancies in how management roles are represented, raising further concerns about transparency and accountability.

We were then removed from the property with a sheriff present, despite no legitimate cause. Being publicly accused of that kind of behavior and escorted off the property was humiliating and unacceptable. To make matters worse, after being removed, we were still charged an additional $200 for a service that was never provided.

What is especially concerning is that prior to this escalation, the retreat acknowledged issues and attempted to “make up for the errors” in writing—yet now refuses to take meaningful accountability. The handling of the situation, including dismissive and unprofessional behavior we experienced, only added to the distress of the situation.

As a couple, including my Hispanic husband who is a 10-year Marine Corps veteran, this experience raises serious concerns about how we were treated and why. The overall handling of this situation felt targeted, unjustified, and deeply unprofessional.

Since the incident, communication has been cut off, making it nearly impossible to resolve the matter or obtain basic answers.

We paid for a peaceful, high-quality experience and instead were met with false accusations, removal under law enforcement, additional improper charges, and zero accountability.

Public records also indicate that a business entity associated with this retreat has been listed as suspended and dissolved in California, raising additional concerns about compliance, transparency, and lawful operation.

At this point, we are pursuing formal action based on potential violations of California consumer protection laws, including failure to provide contracted services, misrepresentation, and improper removal of paying guests. All documentation—including written communication acknowledging issues—has been retained.

We strongly urge others to think carefully before booking. Based on our experience, this is not a business that operates with integrity, transparency, or respect for its guests.
