Overall, the location is nice, and the accommodations are nice. They mostly bank on sitting at the base of the mountain and charging a premium for it. They are supposed to be a fractional ownership style condo, but every activity outside of the pool or theater comes at a price. I've stayed in several of these style places over the years, looking for the perfect fit for our family, and most of the places we have stayed within the same caliber take the time to provide the little details that make you feel like home with the elevated experience, like warm, fresh cookies and hot chocolate bars, and activities that are all included in the stay. This place definitely felt like an overpriced hotel. The rooms were beautiful and well kept, albeit they were sparsely stocked in terms of items needed to function. Overall, it's a nice place to stay on the mountain with beautiful views, but probably not a return visit in my future.
We've been staying at Grand Colorado for years. It never disappoints. For skiers the ski in/ski out is awesome. The amenities are perfect for families and adults. The town of Breckenridge has something for everyone.
If you dont speak Spanish you won't get anywhere with housekeeping because noone speaks English.
Furniture is pathetically cheap and uncomfortable. Sofa is rock hard. Literally and beds are crappy. If you hope to be able to get a good night's rest after a day of skiing think again. If you think you will enjoy sitting by the fireplace with your family, think again. The furniture at a motel in Kansas is more comfortable. You would think with all the money they spend on cosmetics that the owners would test furniture themselves to know how the visitors will feel when staying there.
This hotel is newer than most in Breck and clean and the access to the slopes is amazing. However, there were too many negatives, I honestly wouldn't return or recommend to anyone. The check-out time of 10 am is ridiculous, no room service, no vending machines or access to snacks or drinks afterhours, and the hot tubs are very small and crowded.
The hotel was good, but the mandatory ownership meeting was absolutely terrible. First, the “90-meeting” lasted almost 4 hours, and we kept asking if our children could join, which our sales representative was adamantly against. We were actually relatively open to ownership here, but once we declined the options presented to us our rep became very upset and rude and then walked off on us. We did not see him again. I am so glad that we didn’t buy from him simply because I wouldn’t want him to make a penny off of me.
Always the best stay!! The best customer service and amenities!! We love coming back time after time!
LIghts and atmosphere is just wonderful!
Gotto is a great place to just disconnect.
Hot tubs, skiing right out your door!? What more do you want!
Oh - two bars! and restaurants! Okay!
The Grand Colorado Peak 8 has been our home away from home over the past several years. We always look forward to our visits and the staff provide white glove service.
This is a great mountain ski in/out resort! Lots of amenities to choose from and the staff is always so lovely. Great for large groups, girls getaway, boys getaway or just because!
We just love the property, location, activities....it's just our dream chill spot. We've been all over, but we keep coming back to the GC. Breckenridge is just cute, tidy, chill, not over crowded(yet), and the skiing available in the area is exactly our speed, from Breck to A-Basin to Keystone, and when in full swing, the Frisco Winter Park. There's so many trails to hit up, bike riding in abundance. It's really hard to pick if we go for winter or summer. Next year, we're planning both!
I would like to say how much I appreciate Brandy at Grand Colorado. We have an upcoming trip with family and called to verify our reservations. Brandy went above and beyond to assist me with the reservations and questions that I asked. She was very knowledgeable, and found a couple of errors while verifying the reservations, and assisted in making the much needed corrections. She also said she would make several notes to ensure a smooth check in for our family members. Thank you Brandy!
Our family loves GC8. The children love the mountain, while we love the amenities and the town. We love that we can bring our pups along as owners.
Always great to visit, love the accessibility of the buses and being able to jump around on the bus.
We booked a 2 bedroom at the Grand Colorado to celebrate 2 Halloween Birthdays! This was our first time in Breckenridge and we loved it. The town is quant and charming with lots of little shops and plenty of place to dine and things to do. Our room was fully equipped with a full kitchen, large living room with a fireplace and balcony. The second bedroom was a lockout, with a separate sofa bed and mini kitchen. The bedroom was large with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a soaking tub, walk in shower and dual vanity. Housekeeping was very attentive. The ladies had a wonderful spa day at the Infinity Spa. I did not have a chance to enjoy the pools/hot tubs but my wife did and she loved it. Our only disappointment was that the on-site restaurant was closed for the week. They have a free shuttle into town that we used extensively. The shuttle app was easy to use. I would definitely consider the Grand Colorado again if traveling to Breckinridge in the futire!
Such a nice break from the FL heat and landscape and just enough taste of winter. The property is incredibly well cared for and the staff go above and beyond. The rooms are spacious and clean and the one bedroom was a great setup for working remote and taking meetings. Really enjoyed the fireplace. Tons of outdoor and lobby spaces to gather. And the free shuttle into town is amazing - all the drivers were great to chat with and learn more about the area. Spa is great from the services, pricing, and relaxation grotto with a cold plunge, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and well maintained. First time at this property and Breckenridge and look forward to coming back.
An outstanding experience! Customer service is wonderful, and location can't be beat. We'll be back next year and the following year ....
The rooms were fully equipped to eat at the apartment as much as you wanted. We enjoyed going out to eat most meals. The restaurants were great. Peak 8 had many hot tubs and we enjoyed the adult hot tub at night. The theaters had many choices of all genres and we booked them multiple times. The free buses into town connected easily to buses going to Frisco and other areas for viewing the region fully. The town of Breckinridge also had a trolley to take you quickly to shops.
We upgraded to a one-bedroom suite at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8, and it was worth every penny! The suite was spacious — about 900 square feet — with a fold-out sofa bed, one and a half baths, and a dream kitchen fully stocked with everything you could need. The modern design, high-end appliances, cozy fireplace, and large balcony overlooking the mountains and town made it feel like luxury and comfort all in one.
The indoor and outdoor hot tubs and pool were a huge hit with us and our 11-year-old grandson. Onsite you’ll find an excellent restaurant, coffee shop, a few bars including a rooftop bar, and some boutique shopping. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived.
We spent several days exploring Breckenridge — full of great shops (from local finds to high-end brands), coffee spots, bakeries, and bars. The entire town, and the resort itself, are extremely dog-friendly, which we loved.
Daytime temps were in the mid-50s, dropping into the 30s at night — perfect mountain weather. It took us about 90 minutes to drive from Denver International Airport, and the scenery along the way was stunning. Indoor parking in the garage was a plus since the weather was cooler.
This resort is absolutely amazing. We were so impressed and can’t wait to come back!
We love going to Grand Colorado on Peak 8. The staff makes you feel welcome, the rooms are always clean and feel up to date and fully stocked. The place feels like a resort.
A great resort to meet family and have a good time. Lots of movies in the theater for the children. The pool a day
A great resort to meet family for a week. Lots of good movies in the theater for the children. And, popcorn is available! Everyone enjoys the pool and hot tub. Competitive ping pong and shuffle board games. A great get away in beautiful Breckenridge.
