Very basic , poor facilities
Pros:

Very slow check in , no staff. Rooms not easy to access, up the street round the back , up wooden exterior staircase and entrance via code. No food options which is strange for a pub. Beer was off.

We loved the hotel and the area and would definitely go back

Nice little place

Minor things tbh....splashes on inside of door to bathroom.
Clock not working
Odd light bulbs in bedside lamps
No handle on one of the windows so we couldn't open it up and dust on big fan in room and on extractor fan in bathroom....these are more of a observation to help improve the room.

Proper bad points
On the main road but not to busy at night but being over a pub very noisy at night and had the local police sorting out the locals but it was a world Cup night and England won so it was noisier than usual I guess.

Good value stay in a pleasant area
Pros:

Friendly and helpful owner, comfy bed, kettle, tea and biscuits provided, good mirrors and windows you can open. The staff in the bar are lovely and the prices of drinks were significantly lower than other bars in the area.

Cons:

The shower was very slippy and there were no handrails or shower mat so it felt a bit unsafe. Lighting was very poor at night, with one low wattage pendant light. No parking at the property was an issue but luckily we found an overnight space nearby.

Enjoyable, room adequate for our needs
Pros:

The room itself was very nice, clean, and comfy bed, lots of fresh towels biscuits etc daily,
However few things need addressing, access is via a steep narrow staircase, i dont think this was mentioned, any problems with hips knees would be very difficult.
Our room had a big bright bathroom with new suite but floor badly needed covering, less bling in bedroom and more attention needed although well intentioned.
Location is above the bar and a busy roundabout so was noisy but although didnt bother us, others would find it intrusive, so apart from these things the owners are trying to renovate but attention to details like sweeping balcony and getting rid of cigarette butts is so important
