The worst thing about this hotel is no cleaning provided everyday. I paid for almost 300+ per night I might as well stay at nearby 5 stars hotel.
Also the Indian reception could be abit friendlier will be better.
The myammar guy was really helpful and good. Super friendly.
In order to go swimming pool was another area I found that is Abit weird.
Also no mineral water was provided.
Entrance to the accommodation was not easy to locate as I passed at least thrice before figuring out where it is. The front desk closes at 6pm and there isn’t a lift so beware not to carry too heavy. The stack where my room is not soundproof and was offered a family room upgrade on a different stack. Overall the stay was pleasant as it’s right in the middle of the new town and a tourist attraction with lots of local coffee shops. The room was rustic but clean with pleasantly strong air conditioning to deal with the heat, so I left well despite the rooms not soundproofed. I look forward to stay here again next time I visit Ipoh
It was very hard to find the check in counter of the hotel, which definitely doesn't look like a check in counter. Also, nobody was there, you are expected to call a number written on the desk (if you can?!).
The rooms are clean and nice. But you can hear everything happening in the other rooms and in the aisle.
Location is good, but noisy and security not safe enough, bedsheet but dirty
Perfect location right I the centre of all the shops and restaurants of old town.
Receptionist was rather rude. The pool is dirty covered in moss. Sound proofing is bad. Not much going for the hotel except the “sekeping” design which it used to be part of.
Great Location & Vibe.
Love the industrial ID.

Excellent location. Pool was green and out of order. Might wanna fix that.
Hotel was in a great location, centre of the old town. Host was very helpful and nice to deal with. Hotel is difficult to find (halfway down an alley) and be mindful before booking there is very limited soundproofing, especially with a leaf blower starting up at 7.30am outside. Bed was comfy, but wouldn’t recommend to someone wanting a good night sleep.
It’s a no frill stay, rustic industrial style. Very clean and the manager is helpful. Location is very good, right in the middle of the touristy old town. There are shared fridge and cups in the common pantry. Some rooms comes with en-suite shower and toilet. Not suitable for elderly and some rooms face the main road with no sound proof. Good thing I brought along a mosquito UV lamp.
Uniquely-designed property with rustic feel. Clean and comfortable although room amenities are fairly basic.
Easy parking on the street if you arrive during non-peak hours.
Within very close walking distance to many shopping attractions, restaurants and bars around the Concubine Lane and surrounding areas.
Rooms walls are quite thin so you could hear sounds (foot steps, voices, toilet flush, shower, crying kids, etc.) from the next room. But, most visitors seem quite considerate during our stay there and kept their noise to the minimum.
Pillows are soft but not very comfortable (too low) for side sleeper like me which caused a bit of neck strain in the morning. If you are very particular about this, bring along a 2nd slim pillow to add height.
The hotel was located in the middle of the old town. It was a very unique property with plenty of natural light in the rooms, industrial design, and plants growing everywhere. With the natural environment surrounding us, it felt like high-end camping (very positive).
Andy at the front desk was very helpful and offered many suggestions about things to do around Ipoh.
The rooftop space was amazing and we spent every evening there enjoying the evening air while relaxing in the hammocks.
The only thing I would like to see improved is the condition of the pool. It's amazingly placed, overlooking the trees and old street below, but the water was a bit murky and there was green moss lining the concrete edges. I swam in it, but opted to not submerge my head.
room assigned was adjacent to the main road (less than 2ft to road), not an issue if there was some form of sound proofing but there weren't. The top panel windows had what looked like a secondary glass panels that mimic sound proofing, but the bottom pane wall made of wood - was like a swiss cheese, holes all over even mosquitos could fly through. Vehicles passing by was of at least 90db past 9pm as most were motorcyclist with modified exhaust pipes at a race
Checked out at 1030pm to leave for another hotel - didn't even last half a day at this place. Other rooms might have better luck but if rest is needed this is definitely not recommended in any way
There are plenty of designer hotels that restore traditional buildings, but this one is in a class by itself. It's like staying in a crumbling temple of Angkor Wat, with rooms installed just above the creeping jungle... you can't always tell where the ruins stop and the renovation begins. The architecture is endlessly fascinating but there's a price - the rooms are cramped, there's no indoor common area, and due to the high concentration of cafes and boutiques surrounding the hotel (the complex is a tourist attraction), the local temperatures are even hotter than the overall climate. Some might find this ambience too chaotic, but for me this was an opportunity not to be missed.
Super clean! The staffs are friendly and helpful. Easy access to the tourist attractions. But the entrance is kinda hidden, not easy for first timers to find.
Just okay for one night as the room has thin particion. No hot water when shower. Overall for one night is fine. Location of this property is located in the main center of attraction
The place is nice. However check in and check out taking sometimes. I have to wait about 10-15minutes at counter, unattended.
Swimming pool was not maintained and closed. Water was smelly very bad and moldy. Unpleasant experience. Would like to visit this place again if swimming pool is cleaned up and available for use. Biohazard: May cause aedes due to untreated still water .
Lovely hotel, middle of old place with new face. Hipster! Love the decorations
Convenient location with charismatic industrial design with lots of Instagram worthy spots. Sound proofing may be a concern for some but does not bother me at all.
