I would have chosen other hotel options if I had looked closely to the negative feedbacks previous customers left

Cons:

We stayed for one night on June 25th and noticed the air conditioning was down for the whole building. It was the hottest day in the decade. Hotel staff was efficient in providing fan for each room. However after reading the comments of previous customers, I noticed the hotel has been having this air conditioning problem since early/mid 2025 and I believe this didn’t just happen during the times those customers left negative feedbacks. However the hotel has still been neglecting the issue all these years. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Age discrimination
Pros:

The bathroom, the bed, the breakfast.

We didn't like our experience at the restaurant,we are an elderly couple, there was no printed menu, and we were told to book a meal on the phone.I don't know how to do this
Several other older couples came in and also wanted a printed menu.One couple walked out.Kit was very helpful and produced a printed menu, which we then passed to other customers.We had the drinks menu, but it didn't have any prices on it, to help make a choice.The staff seemed surprised that the menu had no prices.We are not business customers, and frequently stay in hotels and have never had this experience.Apparently you need to look online for that.It seems that the hotel is descriminating against older guests,who don't understand qr codes.Also it just seems very down-market not to be offered a menu.

Wonderful trip
Pros:

Very modern and clean. Staff were extremely friendly. Rooms good size and very comfortable.

Cons:

Breakfast is good

Cons:

A perfectly adequate stay overall, although I was rather surprised to discover that the rooms are not air conditioned.

I appreciate that air conditioning is less common in the UK than in many other countries, but for a large hotel chain charging standard hotel rates—and additional parking fees for guests—I had expected more than a portable fan.

Not a major issue for most of the year, perhaps, but during warmer weather it does affect the comfort of the room and is worth noting for future guests.
