So happy with the whole stay at Hotel Vatika. Hotel staff surjeet, sonu, ashu and chef parveen all made our stay really good. When we returned from temple we were so hungry we ordered yellow dal, gujrati kadi, paneer bhurji and butter masala paneer. 4 of us couldn't stop eating. We were served such amazing food.. not like heavy restaurant Cafe type food but a delicious blend of taste and simplicity that made us eat twice n we still didn't feel bloated. My dog Casper had an amazing time with Ashu who took him for walks when we went to temple. Sonu jis hospitality was quick too. Thank you for making our experience amazing. Also yes our room was river view and the sound of it through out made our experience magical. Jai chamunda devi :)
Location
Hygiene is poor. The hotel needs modernisation
The quality of food is amazing
This hotel epitomizes excellence in every aspect. The breathtaking view from my room left me speechless; each morning, I woke up to panoramic vistas that seemed to stretch to infinity. The food surpassed all expectations, with a diverse array of delectable dishes that delighted my palate at every meal. The service was impeccable; every staff member went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. Their warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism were truly commendable. In short, this hotel is a haven of luxury where every detail is meticulously curated to provide guests with an unforgettable experience.

NOTHING
EVERYTHING
I like the river view from rooms and food.
I found it a quite far from Dharamshala city. Also looks like they have quite less staff members
Breakfast and dining room service was okay. Location of the hotel is good.
Hotel takes zero care of cleanliness of its rooms. Cobwebs in the corners. Dirty floors. Poor quality of tea and coffee. Troops of monkeys in the balcony. Risky to go out onto the balcony. Lack of running hot water. The electricity supply is deliberately cut off by the staff to air-conditioner to save on the electricity bill. One cannot stay in the room without air conditioning in August rainy season. Worse than a budget hotel. Bed linen and towels were not washed with detergent. They smelled bad.
