No bang for your buck.

Room was decent but very small especially for 3 people.

Good Property with excellent Location
Pros:

Breakfast was awesome at the property


Matthew in staff at the reception was amazing he was very helpful in terms of luggage forwaring or any help asked

Cons:

Bathrooms were average as we did not have space to keep our toiletries

We had interconnecting rooms as we requested but felt 1 room was more for a wheelchair person which was not informed on checkin.

Locatie en kamers waren goed.

Cons:

Elke dag rijen bij ontbijt ( elk tijdstip ), schoonmakers lopen naar binnen terwijl niet storen bordje aan de deur hing. Eigen handdoek meegenomen door schoonmakers. Hotel pasjes inactief voor uitcheck datum.

Excellent hotel and good value for money
Pros:

Very nicely decorated and function rooms. I had a lovely few over temples. There are free snacks from 2 to 5 pm. Location is close to the wonderful Kyoto station. The robes are beautiful and you can buy them

Great place but a bit too busy with large tour groups
Pros:

Fantastic location, style of the hotel was great.
The beds were the comfiest of my life!

Cons:

There wasn't enough lifts to service everyone in the morning. Also breakfast was chaos with people queuing for ages and a lot of rude people (not hotel's fault.
Very loud elevator music in the bar/restaurant area

Very central hotel close to the main train station
Pros:

Just a short walk from the main station, this hotel was very comfortable and very clean. The staff were all very helpful, would thoroughly recommend

Loved every second in the Mercure.
Pros:

We loved everything about this hotel.
The location was only about 8 mins walk to the station. Very easy and safe.
The room was large and very comfortable. Plenty of space for bags and a great view from our large window.
The complimentary afternoon tea/ snacks and drinks were amazing. We sat for hours relaxing in the afternoon after our busy days. In hindsight we could have stayed there longer and travelled up to Osaka for a day trip or two as our room in Osaka was not comparable to the Mercure...
Thebathroom was beautiful and clean.
The staff were fabulous and happy to help with directions. We had many interactions with a Filipino lady on the desk and she was lovely.
We cannot fault anything about this hotel.
