Comfortable, but check in first about the window view!
Pros:

Breakfast was great. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant is nice and feels modern but cozy.

Cons:

I ended up with a room on the side of the building that is adjacent to another residence building. So, the curtains needed to be drawn closed the entire time. It was a bit uncomfortable to not have natural lighting. I would be sure not to have those rooms if staying here again.

I definitely recommend, it worths it's price
Pros:

Breakfast is perfect, and delicious. Hotel located only 8 mins walk away from Kyoto station.

Cons:

There is no table or desk for working with laptop inside the room. I booked with dinner. For dinner only 3 options every day which is unchanged.

Good rooms and location but staff need to be less forgetful

Great for 3 people and loved the room setup with the bathroom at one end and the beds at the other

Not quite as it appears.
Pros:

Convenient hotel close to train station! Comfortable bed and the breakfast was really good with many options.

Cons:

At first there was a small difference in the price I was called to pay and the one I booked. Nothing crazy but the staff really handled it poorly. We were waiting at least for 20 minutes, they didn’t recognize the mistake (even if they took a photo of my booking in different price). After that their behavior completely changed. Not rude directly but for sure not friendly or welcoming, we were left with this feeling for the duration of our stay.
The room it self quite small (japans standard), the problem was that the curtains didn’t block the sun in the morning, so we couldn’t have comfortable sleep. Also the cleaning was quite poor, dust and trash from previous stays were found. And the everyday cleaning also really basic, like it was made in a rush.
Moro we the internet is extremely slow (not even 1mps) and if you are a member of Accor is up to 5mps.

Great hotel in Tokyo surrounded by great independent local restaurants too. Will use this again!
Pros:

Great furnishing & interior decoration.

Cons:

The walk from the train station is 10 minutes… but with heavy suitcases, this can feel like a bit of a trek.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mercure would stay there again
Pros:

The hotel was very modern including the decor and the location was a 7 minute walk from Kyoto station and the shopping area. The staff and breakfast was good. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Cons:

The only small thing was there were no laundry facilities but there was a laundromat around the corner
