Nice, tranquil garden.
The road and people noise was insane!!! We tried ear plugs and could not block the noise coming through the balcony doors. We have traveled the world and this room was by far the worst. The sewer gas smell was really strong, too! It was A very bad experience for us.
Central location. Wonderfully accommodating staff, treat you like family. Cozy property like home away from home.
Mattresses are a little firm for me, others may prefer them.
Located in town
Beautiful back yard for sitting and relaxing
Sometimes a little loud but we were there during carnaval week
Beautiful hotel in centro Chapala. Close to everything with the market right across the street and so many restaurants to choose from. This is the place to stay in Chapala. Lovely staff, and delicious, free, traditional Mexican breakfast.
There were stairs but we managed.
Breakfast and staff, excellant!
Location
There was a domestic disturbance outside our door and the hotel did nothing. Manager was not helpful at all, even after our complaint next day. No sleeping at all. Terrible experience, will not recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was excellent and substantial enough to last us several hours before another meal! The staff were incredibly helpful to us, especially when we had a problem (my fault -- misplacing my phone). Santiago was especially helpful. The location is close to the malecon and many restaurants. The garden is tranquil and even offers a jacuzzi.
The only problem was that there was some noise from a nearby bar some nights, but the hotel provides earplugs.
Absolutely gorgeous little hotel, right on the plaza. Parking very close by, and very secure. Immaculately clean and well-maintained from top to bottom. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, who were very accommodating to our somewhat odd requests, and necessities. Fantastic water pressure, nice dark curtains/shutters, nice linens, bedside water, 24/7 lobby, and nice and quiet in my room facing away from the plaza (off of the main lobby), but a tiny bit noisier (on a holiday weekend) in the front room with the invisible coffee table.
Dad almost broke a rib tripping and falling over that glass coffee table in the front room facing the plaza.
Breakfast was great. Accommodations were good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast few choices and limited menu it was very poor and disappointing. Especially when hotel had a full menu at breakfast but not for their guests staying at the hotel.
Did not like the constant barking of dogs in the garden area of the hotel especially at night and during the morning and afternoon. We booked room because of the garden and patio but were not able to enjoy this area at all.
It was very clean and centrally located. Complimentary breakfast was excellent!
The noise from the motorcycles
The kitchen service and the breakfast is really good. The Cook does a really good job. Only one of the front desk guy. I can’t remember his name was very cooperative.
This hotel is at a location which is already very loud. I have stayed here before. There was a festival outside till 2 AM in the morning. They gave us earplugs so we can not hear the outside noise. I cooperated never complained.
This time I rented the penthouse. The doors and the cabinets in the penthouse are so cheap when you close them the whole hotel will hear them. You don’t rent a penthouse so you don’t move around in that place. I got a text message from one of the employee that you are very loud. I showed him the next morning the cabinets and the doors are so cheap. Not at all upto the standard of the price they’re asking for. The staff downstairs for five days was very rude. Just because I had a local family with me staying in another room. They only want to treat gringos well and not the local people there. This is totally unacceptable. This is the last time I’ve ever stayed in that hotel and will never go back.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Steps from the Malecon and restaurants. A great place to see Chapala from.
If driving, make sure you reserve parking nearby, though we got lucky with street parking for our stay.
