Hotel was neat & clean, oh and had free breakfast.
We returned to our room late Saturday to find our room had not been serviced. No dry towels, no made bed, no coffee supplies, no trash emptied. When I went to the front desk I was told they only service the rooms every other day. This policy was NOT stated anywhere online or in the hotel or in the room. I would not have booked the room if it was. The woman at the front desk said the best she could do was to have our room serviced the next day. That did not help us as we were leaving at 7am and wanted to have showers and coffee before leaving. She was finally able to find someone to bring us towels and coffee pods. In the morning I spoke to a different woman at the front desk who said the earlier front desk worker had misunderstood policy and that our room should have been serviced, but that the housekeeping staff had been ‘overwhelmed’ the day before…and then later in that conversation she reversed herself and said it was indeed the policy for the room to only be serviced every other day. She concluded by saying that if we are Bonvoy members the manager could put points into our account as an apology. I have not heard from the manager.
Daily servicing of the room, or tell the customer you do not intend to do so.
Great staff. Very clean hotel

We stayed here for a wedding at the Barns at Weslyan. The hotel that was blocked for the wedding guests was nearby, but we chose to stay here because the rooms looked larger and there was a trundle bed. We had two rooms with 3 people each and we wanted our own beds. Nobody used the trundle because once the back pillows were removed from the couch, the couch was PERFECT as a bed itself. The closet was huge, the rooms were large and clean, and the breakfast in the morning was perfect - eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, yogurts and toppings, and some fresh fruit.
The coffee. It was terrible. You either need to get better coffee or use more coffee grounds when brewing. As a person who actually likes light roast coffee, this tasted like water. It had almost no flavor.
NOTHING!
I BOOKED AND PAID IN FULL A RESERVATION FOR 5 DAYS BUT WHEN I ARRIVED THEY DID NOT HAVE MY RESERVATION AND WERE VERY UNHELPFUL. I HAD TO FIND A HOTEL MIDDAY AND THEY OFFERED NO HELP OR SYMPATHY. AWFUL! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Nothing
That the reservation got canceled day of check in even tho I paid for the room off of booking.com a week prior.
Location. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Clean.
We could smell smoke in our “non-smoking” room.

Can’t think of anhthinf
Unfortunately, there are NO MINUS stars here!
We had a fully paid, non-refundable reservation at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Hartford Cromwell booked a month in advance. We arrived at 6:00 PM and were told, “Due to unexpected circumstances, we have no room for you.” No prior phone call. No proper explanation, just “Sorry, there’s nothing left.” What makes this even worse? The hotel continued sending promotional emails — even the morning of our arrival — encouraging us to book another night. Yet they couldn’t honor the reservation we had already paid for.
We travel the world and have stayed in many exceptional, beautiful hotels across Europe and Asia, and we have never felt so neglected and dismissed as we did here.
We were told our refund would take several business days, meaning they held our money for over a month and provided no service. And to add insult to injury, when we arrived home, we received another automated message asking about our “pleasant stay.” What nerve to send that after refusing us a room.
Being “walked” without assistance, accountability, or basic professionalism is unacceptable, especially from a Marriott-branded property.
Book at your own risk or stay away from this place.
My stay at this property was completely unacceptable. We stayed at this hotel as part of a Volleyball team block created by THS. I have never felt this level of concern about my safety and my daughter's safety as I did this past weekend. There were 2 men staying at the hotel that hung out in the lobby area staring at the other guests including our group of 16 year old daughters. The one man was disheveled and wore dark sunglasses while he stood by the breakfast area with his back against the wall staring at everyone. He did the same thing the next night. Then, in the morning, he was removed from the hotel deceased from an apparent overdose. He was wheeled through the main lobby in a body bag. The staff should have taken a moment to ask all guests (including our teenagers) to leave the lobby, but they did not. The police asked them to turn around, but it was not enough. The other man stayed in the lobby for hours talking to the front desk person and trying to approach guests. We could not relax, because of the unease. Additionally, there was blood on the elevator button which my travel companion cleaned off so that our children would not see it. Lastly, the side door was broken and was being held open with a brick. I am very disappointed and I have requested recognition for a less than acceptable, albeit dangerous stay. After not receiving any help from the property, I contacted Marriott Corporate and they have declined any responsibility for this.
As an avid traveler, I will no longer stay at Marriott as I have lost confidence in their commitment to providing a safe environment to their guests. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL
Exceptional service, spacious and comfortable rooms. The complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations with a wide selection of fresh options. We were very impressed.
