Very good
Beds and pillows
Our rooms internet went down and when they moved me the tv didn’t have any apps
Room. Was nice
Room was booked months ago for two adults and one child using a sofa bed. However on arriving at late on. Thursday on check in we were advised the sofa bed had not been made up for our child. Breakfast was nice but pastries and muffins could have been a bit fresher
Lovely hotel
Great staff
There were children running around in the corridor outside our room until well after midnight
I would like to say thank you to the lady on the desk who sorted my book out because When I got there I had looked it on line and there was no booking in my name for me but luckily there was a few rooms left.
Plenty of parking the food menu could do with being better not much choice.
The room was comfortable, the breakfast was nice with a range of cooked and fresh foods including waffles, the location was convenient and plenty of parking with a petrol station near by with a few takeaway restaurants.
The fire alarm.
During our stay we had the fire alarm go off after breakfast, we became anxious as it continued to sound for longer than a few seconds, we left the room and asked a member of staff and they said no test of the alarm was planned and that it was too long for a test and to leave via the stairs and not the lift. My mobility is limited and this was distressing. By the time we got to the stairs the alarm has stopped. We asked at the reception and were informed that it was a planned test and that we should have been informed at breakfast as all staff should have been aware of the test.
With breakfast being several hours and the size of the seating area this seems like an ineffective way to inform guests. With fire tests being planned in advance and the size of the hotel I would have expected to have been informed at the check in, or in passing the reception.
In short be sure to ask if a test of the fire alarm is due to happen during your stay so that you don't have to share our experience.
The room was well equipped with air conditioning, a SMEG fridge and a beautiful bathroom.
The location was handy but the view was a bit bleak.
always nice staying here and breakfast good
i didnt like at all having to pay for the carpark each day i think it was £3 a day on top
Location, staff interactions with guests was very goid (except at breakfast), hotel is very clean.
Bed was like a block of concrete, I don't mind a firm bed but that was not just highly uncomfortable but actually caused severe back pain. This resulted in no sleep which was less than ideal as we stayed only one night to break up a long journey south from central Scotland. In addition, the female (wearing a trouser suit, grey shoulder length hair) was not only sullen faced but sour looking and rude! Pushing guests out the way to get in to whatever she was doing, terse responses if approached and never cracked a smile once! I understand she was busy but the guests are a hotel's priority and a smile and manners cost nothing - training issue I would suggest!
Lovely helpful staff. Good room with comfy bed and of course an excellent brekfast. Free parking.
Nothing
Good location and clean hotel
WiFi was really bad had no reception
Loved overall the stay for our needs, staff members super friendly and kind, very clean room and common areas, not a single complaint, very recommend!
Great value for money, friendly staff. Room was spacious, comfortable and very clean.
Overall very good. Only issues were there was no milk for breakfast. At 1am / 3am we were woken by screaming and shouting from a nearby room.
Location
Service was appalling
