Great location great atmosphere
Parking was a bit tricky managed to park in the square just round the corner
The facilities for the cleaning the dog were amazing and the whole hotel was very well equipped.
It was really hot in our room even with a fan on and the window open, the weather outside was not particularly hot.

Everything, Room was dirty, dog hairs and had a baby so.couldnt crawl around, ceilings so low in the loft suite. Rang up and requested a cot, got their and asked for a further £15 for this service. Not very accesible friendly, top floorr loft, 2 other staircases to get to the room. Dated and dirty rooms. Qouldnt reccomend.
The quirkiness of it was great, the rooms were fabulous with a great bathroom too

I appreciate this may be difficult to rectify, but a lift would have been good for my 4th floor room!

Loads of sockets. Excellent quality furniture, bed and bed linen. Items like iron & board tucked away and not taking up space. My dirty cups were replaced each day. Best of all, a fridge!
Free drinks in the cosy, clean and comfortable 'common' rooms which had lovely views. The staff were very friendly and helpful which created a great atmosphere.
On arrival I found steep steps leading up to the hotel entrance. Then to access my room on 4th floor, after exiting the lift, I had to go down some stairs and then up more stairs. I'm nearly 70 and had a pretty heavy suitcase. The hotel stairs and corridors seemed a bit tatty and I seriously contemplated immediately checking out. I'm delighted I didn't as I soon realised it's a great hotel.
Always look forward to staying here, the staff are always friendly and work hard, good quality food and drinks, good vibes and the rooms are always spotlessly clean you wouldn’t know that dogs stayed here as it’s always so clean.

Poor breakfasts compared to other nearby places such as Cat’s PJ’s, Scarborough Flyer, or Carousel.
Evening meals not great (we had soggy pizza and poor ‘skins on fries).
