Finally a place in London where the room is not a shoebox and still comes at a modest price for the city. The rooms are great, the design is stylish, and both the room and lobby feel very spacious by London standards. The staff were amazing and the view was fantastic.
The only small downside is that it’s a few extra minutes’ walk to the nearest Tube station. That said, it’s really not a problem and the overall experience easily makes up for it.
Location, comfy bed
The room was not very clean & also the road was closed so there was no way to get there with a car with all the luggages. It would have beeb nice if they let us known in advance
Fantastic location with view of the Thames. Friendly staff. Really comfortable bed.
Nothing
Lovely room and very friendly staff, I recommend the stay, great location and good view of the river from the room. We left our bags there and went exploring with no worries
All was great for us
Great place in central London, by the river.
Not really an issue, but no reading lights.
The staff was very nice and tried to be helpful, even if they couldn't solve issues, like the broken TV in my room. The breakfast selection in the cafe was good and the staff there was very nice. In daylight, the location was convenient for a walker like myself, but if you do not normally walk long distances and cannot handle the long and steep steps on the bridge over the nearby highway, it would not be a great location. If walking and climbing stairs are not an issue, then you'd probably like the proximity to the business district along Victoria Street and several Underground stations. The proximity to the Millennium Bridge and the Tate Modern is also a plus. I was grateful that the BlackFriar Underground station was close by along the Thames and there was a lift from the river walk to the street level entrance, so I could manage my luggage on the way to the airport.
Location and lack of decent signage made it almost impossible to find the hotel when I arrived after dark on a rainy evening. Fortunately, someone was driving me, but had a difficult time finding the entrance. There was no table in the room to eat or work at; just a coffee table, though it's an efficiency apartment with a kitchenette where you could heat food and make tea or coffee; the bathroom is horribly cramped - the sink is so tiny that when the water was turned on, it splashed on the floor; if you bend over the sink, you risk hitting your head on the overhanging vanity cabinet; no tissues in the room, only toilet paper, which I've never experienced in a hotel (are guests supposed to bring their own?) I arrived on a Sunday evening and there was NO FOOD anywhere. The vending machine in the lobby was broken; the bartender only had a small package of chips in the bar. Walking anywhere alone at night in that very isolated, unfamiliar area was out of the question for me personally and I did not want to order from a pizzeria. Closest light switch near the bed was on the opposite wall farthest from the open side of the bed. A thick area rug outside the bathroom prevented the bathroom door from opening fully. There was no luggage rack or closet in the room, just a rack with a few hangers. The TV in the room was unwatchable and needed a repair, which was not done while I was there. I was not aware of any senior management in the building at any time I was present. I really hate giving a bad or mediocre review to any property, but I think the main problems for me stemmed from the design and amenities of my room and location. Once I became familiar with the area, I found it convenient and accessible to many sights in the area, as well as London's fabulous public transit, but still a tad isolated for a lone female traveler at night.
The layout of the apartment was amazing, modern, clean, excellent view of the Thames! Loved the one-way-windows (great for people watching). Staff were great and helped out at all hours.
