Top notch! Rooms had several amenities and Devils Kitchen was absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend it!
The rooms were large.
The rooms! Even though they were large, the beds weren’t the best. I don’t think you should call their pillows, pillows. I go for torture device. I didn’t have a decent nights sleep at all. The restaurant, you can’t call it that. A restaurant is where you sit down and get a menu. Instead you pay top dollar to stand in line, and wait and wait and wait. Then you get food that is so so. Ugh!!
Front desk staff was phenomenal, went above and beyond with a unique situation we had.
4th floor restaurant staff was ok, they need to communicate better and more warmly to customers, had a bit of a ‘chip on their shoulders’.
A stay at the Hotel Maverick totally elevated my recent trip to Grand Junction (for a couple of doctors visits) to a fun and special vacation. As an interior designer and architectural photographer, I was totally impressed with the beautiful and sophisticated design of the building, the lobby, hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, coffee shop and Devil’s Kitchen restaurant (with a sweeping view of the campus), down to the smallest detail. The hotel is very well run by students in the Hospitality program at Colorado Mesa University, and they couldn’t have been more friendly and engaging. It’s obvious they love what they are doing. I was told that students in the Culinary program help design the menu (which had a number of creative and delicious offerings) and some serve as line cooks in the kitchen. The meal, service, and dining atmosphere at the Devil’s Kitchen were all superior. What could have been a boring trip, with a stay at the same ol’ run-of-the-mill hotel, turned into a fun, refreshing and inspiring experience! These students deserve more than a five star rating! I can’t wait to stay there again!
Clean, modern, staff are very nice
I left my bath suit in the hotel and called the same day as our departure. One colleague called me back and said they had found both my bathing suit and some kids clothes and asked me to send an email stating what I wanted to do with the items. In the email, I said donate the kids clothes, mail the bathing suit. After paying $30 for shipping, I received the kids clothes. When I called, the front desk apologized and said they had accidentally donated my bathing suit and that they would replace it. Then the manager called and said actually there was no record of the bathing suit being found. So many different stories and it doesn’t make sense. I believe they actually don’t want to replace the bathing suit because it was designer. Very disappointing from this hotel. I still don’t know why they mailed the kids clothes when the email was explicit. Now the manager isn’t returning my calls.
Nice, modern, clean hotel. Spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Terrific rooftop bar and restaurant. Great place to stay when visiting Grand Junction. Would definitely return.
The view/location is spectacular. Have been many times and have sat both outside and inside. Very nice staff.
I was disappointed in my 1/2 flue of Prosecco for $14.00. A long wait for cocktails, realize they had a new bartender however the wait made the short pour even more dissatisfying.
The salmon was wonderful and done to perfection, however the bed of tasty rice it was served on was incredibly skimpy. Left me wanting a bit more to go along with my fish. Desert brownie was dry and also a bit skimpy.
Great food and service but lacking in portions:)
Really enjoyed this hotel during our family stay in Grand Junction. This is a modern, clean, and well appointed hotel. Comfortable lobby for taking a break (with free popcorn!) and a very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room was great, comfortable bed, and very clean. You have to check out the rooftop bar and restaurant. We also were able to eat outside with great views of the surrounding hills. There's also a convenient coffee shop in the lobby.
The bed was super comfortable, the rooms was very quiet and the hotel facilities were very good, including the hot tub and the bar!
Everything was great!
We loved staying on campus and the staff was courteous and kind. The 4th floor was fun to call home with views and its proximity to Devil's Kitchen. Being able to access the Hamilton Rec Center is a bonus - what a facility!
Hot tub temporary closure was a letdown but we understand it was under construction for the privacy fence installation.
