Fantastico edificio del 17mo secolo autentico e affascinante. La mia era la suite all'ultimo piano, incredibile. Ottima la colazione (e la cena non compresa). Parcheggio gratuito.

Lovely building but beware of the time the doors close
Pros:

It is a quirky old building with character. Location was near the office I needed to be at as I was travelling for work. Breakfast had good options and was cooked to order.

Cons:

The room was extremely hot and was unable to open any windows to cool it down. There was a small fan available but it just moved the hot air around.

I arrived too early for check in so left my bags. When I returned at 10.20pm after my meetings the doors were closed and I was unable to gain access. Attempted the phone number, knocking on the door and ringing the bell to no avail. Luckily a colleague of mine was also staying there and had arrived before we so we were able to gain access by calling her. I was unaware of the time the doors would be closed.

Pleasant staff, facilities ok for a listed building with tired decor in the bedroom and hallways.
Pros:

Breakfast arrangements were good.

Cons:

Tiny window in room facing the main road. Room was very hot and had to have the window open all night so got disturbed by traffic noise

Good stopover point -
Pros:

Different weather (wintertime) would have been lovely. Just too warm in non air conditioning equipped rooms. Provision of room fan was welcome but not much use. Loved the traditional inn style of premises though.

If you want to be in the town centre then this is pretty much the only option.
Pros:

Very good breakfast. Easy access to the town. Several pubs within a five minute walk, though if you want food you need to go to the Lock Keeper or Brassmill which are a bit further.

Cons:

Room was a bit small. Main problem was a chaise longue which took up a lot of space and served no useful purpose other than as a luggage rack. It also made getting to one side of the bed a bit of a squeeze. Carpets in the communal areas are looking rather shabby. Restaurant does not open until 6.30 pm.
