I found the hotel really Olde Worlde which l loved. A key to unlock the door and unique features. The room was small but excellent with immaculate bedding and cleanliness. The garden was lovely and staff were pleasant. I attended a party and the buffet food was the best lve tasted..really delicious.
Difficult to find any fault with this lovely hotel. The parking is limited but l did get a space. Tesco is on the next street where you can park for hours ( even overnight) for free as long as you register your car number in store.
Beautiful old property. Garden to rear very nice. All original features and decor to match the period of the property. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideally situated for Bath and Bristol with great public transport links.
Our room was quite cramped and the toilet was very noisy as it was a saniflow macerater so we did not flush during the night but I would certainly return to the property as these were minor issues.
Room was dusty, only one member of staff on duty to look after the Bar & Reception or at b/fast.
Parking
Cozy and clean room, friendly staff and i have to say a big thank you to Sarah the chief, she was there earlier to prepare my breakfast before the breakfast start time as i had to leave for work earlier!!!
Lovely 400 year old hotel with comfortable rooms, helpful staff, nice bar and good beers
We did not stay at this property as the location and facilities did not meet either advertising or expectations.
Parking was unsatisfactory. Room was dingy and beds looked most uncomfortable. Wardrobe would not open. Shower room very small and shower unsafe for an 80 plus person. Very disappointing. Staff suggested I would only pay for one night on account of this? I have yet to receive any confirmation of this.
Great food and friendliest staff, and the house has a soul! can just reccommend!
Location
Bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast started too lare, at 8.30 so we had to miss it .parking very limited.
