Quirky interior, with corridors displaying old period artworks / portraits. Comfy enough stay.
Pros:

Really good breakfast. Room / bathroom a little tired - but passable for my own needs.

Cons:

By virtue of staying sunday night - the bar / restaurant were not open - so ventured down the street for an evening meal.

It's old, but that's its beauty
Pros:

The hotel has an old vibe, which is the main characteristic feature. If you like modern, don't go to this hotel, as it's definitely not for you. The location is great, very accessile to Bristol.
Bed linen and the bathroom are spotlessly clean, and staff go above and beyond to please everybody.
I was nervous that there aren't enough parking spaces, but that wasn't a problem on the 2 nights I stayed there (during the week days, so I'm not sure how it works on weekends).

Cons:

The rooms are not sound proof at all. One night I was woken up at about midnight by the people in the next room who were just talking. There is trafic from the main street, but that calms down at night time, so it gets better. Also, the music from the dining/breakfast room rownstairs can be heard in the pillow, as you try to lay down and sleep. So if you are not a morning person, that could be a problem, as they start serving breakfast at 7.30am, so you will definitely hear it.
They have free WiFi but it's completely useless. I couldn't even open my emails, so I had to use my mobile data instead.
The parking spaces at the back of the hotel (the 4 or 5 of them) have a very narrow entrance, so if you have a bigger car, better use the space at the back, if available.
The room was quite cold, especially in the bathroom. I had to leave the bathroom door open for me to be able to take a shower after a few minutes.

Superb breakfast and friendly staff.

Cons:

Our room was far too hot, we had to open all the windows and turn off the radiators. Areas of the room were dusty which was disappointing.

Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. A main car park accessible to the hotel. Good breakfast.

Cons:

Disabled car park is some way from the entrance. The decor could be said to have old world charm but really had seen better days. The period bed is not particularly comfortable and the uneveness of the floors can be challenging. There are no lifts, which we knew would be the case but the stairs are steep.

Friendly, helpful staff in a building full of character. Comfortable bed in a decent-sized room:-) I had a great weekend
Pros:

Very convenient for my purposes; close to the train station, the party venue and an easy walk to visit my brother and sister-in-law. I chose not to drive and it worked out well.

Cons:

My room faced the main road and was above the bar and dining room, so I could hear music and voices. But it was quiet later in the evening, so I slept well :D
