Pros:

Great value for money. Not the fanciest hotel but obviously this is reflected in the price. Rooms are comfortable, clean, bathroom is a good size, and the desk is nice to have.

Cons:

Reception is often not around. King bed is actually just two kings pushed together.

Great stay with comfortable large bed and friendly staff. Would visit again.
Pros:

Great little hotel that feels a bit like an apartment. Close to a metro station and around 15min walk from Kyoto station. Nice neighborhood. Nice hotel staff. The bed was also huge and comfy.

Cons:

The reception is on b1 and the stairs were a little steep with the suitcases, but it was fine.
