Proximity and comfort
Pros:

We had a one night stay while in Stratford to see a play. While the room decor was a little dated, it was large and clean. All staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Decor was dated. Lobby was small. It was pouring rain out when we and about 10 others arrived so it made for close quarters. The water at the refreshment stand in the lobby was not hot for tea. Tea dejections were great.

Abandoned by the Parlour who claimed no knowledge of our reservaation.
Cons:

we arrived with our booking.com reservation in hand. They said they had no record of it and we had to sort it out with booking.com. they took NO responsibility - I later found I had earlier email exchanges directly between me and the Parlour relating to that reservation. They (desk clerk AND manager) gave us NO help in finding another place - until we asked for a suggestion. They abandoned us. And we are repeat visitors. Abysmal reaction on their part. We barely made it to our play, even though we were 1.5 hours early.

Stratford itself is a nice little town but may only be worth visiting if you are going to the theatr

Would absolutely return to enjoy this property.
Pros:

1. Location was perfect and everything was walking distance 👌
2. Day staff exceeded expectations and super informative
3. Rooms were clean and comfortable
4. Bathroom hygiene products provided were good quality and towels were good quality
5. Loved the free parking on the premises
6. Loved the outside patio

Cons:

Night staff were not as familiar with the surrounding area after hours and what is available for food. We managed on our own and found a place just down the road

Best hotel in Stratford!
Pros:

The staff were happy and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The food was excellent. We had shuttle to and from theater which was wonderful.
I cant wait to book again with them next year!

Can't think of a thing!

location was good. bar and restaurant were good, but did not stay open long enough

room was not clean. bottle top was under end table. bathroom was dirty, white powder under the sink and other dirt behind the door

Quiet, centrally-located historic hotel with responsive staff
Pros:

French onion soup & chicken entrees were delicious. Two lights in room didn't work initially but front desk got the problem rectified on our timetable. Room size was a bit tight but had marvelous TV. Very quiet & central location with bus service to Shakespearian Festival

Cons:

Very cold in public spaces. Menu choices for Breakfast & dinner were limited. Breakfast portions were too large, service was slow since only four tables in the restaurant were occupied. Limited plugs for electronics

Pros:

The hotel is a very centrally located, lovely building and the room was cute. The amenities in the room were nice also, including a Nespresso machine and nice smelling soap, body cream and makeup remover. They put a rose on our bed as a turn down service! The people working the check in desk were very friendly and helpful.
