Kimpton? More Like A KHoliday Inn.
Pros:

So overall it's a good hotel, but it is very over-priced for what you get. And it doesn't seem up to the Kimpton-level of decor. Once you get inside your room - it's a newer Holiday Inn design, furnishings, limens and towels. Every other Kimpton I have stayed in has had cool design elements and top-quality materials, but at this Kimpton those were just average.

The top-level bar and restaurant are nice and have good views, but there were dead plants needing to be trimmed in the planters and some of the benches were filled with construction materials for some project.

The fridge is pre-stocked, which left little room for my things. Although I consumed nothing from the fridge, there was a charge (removed) for having taken something from the fridge. I was never able to change the thermostat from Cool to Heat and the thermostat has a VERY bright light.

Good Things - All of the staff were great and friendly, from the Hotel Manager to the server on the roof-top bar. There was an amenity plate of fruit and cookies in the room. The location is great for wandering around downtown Bozeman.

There is no on-site parking and it is a $50 fine for leaving your vehicle on the street overnight (my bad for missing one of four city parking signs.)

I might stay here again, but there are other downtown hotels that don't charge a Kimpton premium.

Potentially Great - But Needs Some Management
Pros:

I spent two nights at the Amory Kimpton. There is much to like about this hotel. It is a beautiful and architecturally interesting hotel in a great location - just a block from the main street. It has a lovely rooftop pool, and the speakeasy in the basement features great life music. The room was nice and comfortable, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. My room came with breakfast, and the food was great.

But it does not get 5 stars for two big reasons. First, the housekeeping was awful, and this extended to all 3 rooms my group occupied. I don't think you could really describe it as housekeeping. The covers were pulled up haphazardly on the bed as opposed to "making the bed". Dirty glasses were left in the room, and not replaced with clean glasses. They did have Nespresso maker in the room which I love, but every day I had to call down and ask for more capsules, as they did not service the coffee bar. On the final day they just informed me that they had run out of coffee (weird - as there are plenty of stores in the area, and they could have sent somebody to buy more). Perhaps they are having staffing issues?

The other issue were the elevators. On the day I arrived one broke down, and was out of service for my entire stay. Not sure what their options are (I would have paid overtime to get it working if I was management and that was possible), but given the popularity of the place it was a big problem. Huge lines of people were gathered around the elevators, and it could take a long time to get to your room.

This hotel has the potential to be great, and I think it would be if the above issues are addressed.

Great New Hotel!
Pros:

The old National Guard Armory has been repurposed to a 5-star hotel. It lives up to the Kimpton reputation for comfort and spaciousness.

Very convenient and clean hotel, but not sure its quite a 5 star stay.
Pros:

The beds were very comfortable. The rooftop bar was nice and accommodating. Hotel staff was friendly and the location was perfectly situated close to restaurants and shopping. Free neighborhood parking a street away was very easy each day.

Cons:

We asked for a room higher up to get away from noise and we were put right over the dumpster location where we were awakened on two mornings to the loud noise of garbage service very early. The breakfast was definitely sub-par and not cooked as ordered.

Great place and I would recommend it to friends.
Pros:

The hotel and location were incredible. It was an easy walk to all of the incredible local businesses around the corner. We loved the complimentary drinks from 5-6pm. The views from the rooftop and the live music were awesome.

Cons:

You are pretty much forced to Valet park for $45 a day though. Although the staff was incredibly responsive to our needs we did have to ask for more coffee each day, even after having our room cleaned.

Armory
Pros:

Great location. Lovely staff and clean, nicely appointed public areas. Great roof top bar with wonderful service. The roof top pool is lovely. I was sorry i didnt have a swimsuit to enjoy it.
#320 is a terrible room. While clean with a great bed, I felt as if I was in a bat cave, dark, some tiny corner window that just looked out at another hotel and the Armory roof top. Each night around 4:30 am, I was awakened by some humming noise and remained awake till morning. I should have requested a move but we were off and touring by 8:30 am.
Upon my return, sometime after 2:30, the room had yet to be serviced. Saw maids at the room next door so I left for another hour but upon return still no service. Called and WAITED. Ultimately had to settle for some clean towels to prepare for the evening out. For the price, I was disappointed.

Great Views and Good Vibes in Bozeman
Pros:

We stayed at the Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman for a weekend trip to Bozeman and Yellowstone, and it ended up being the perfect home base for the trip. The location couldn’t be better as it’s right in the heart of downtown Bozeman and just steps from all the cute shops and restaurants that make Bozeman so walkable and fun.

Check in was friendly and informative, setting a welcoming tone from the start. The lobby felt perfectly suited to the area: cozy, warm, and charming in a distinct Bozeman way.

Our room was spacious and well-appointed with thoughtful touches like locally made snacks in the minibar. For dining and drinks, the rooftop bar was a highlight, ideal for cocktails and small bites while taking in the mountain views. The heated rooftop pool shares the same stunning backdrop. Even though we never went in, we I found ourselves returning to the area just to enjoy the views - Also the lobby restaurant had amazing breakfast.

The hotel’s cellar bar added another layer of personality, with live music and a lively, fun energy that made for a great evening.

Throughout the stay, the staff stood out for their genuine hospitality at every turn, making it a very memorable & enjoyable stay.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing , the lobby and parts of the hotel were beautiful
Pros:

We enjoyed the ambience and decor. The location was great for walking. The hotel was very pretty but our bathroom and room was disappointingly small - not enough room to open suitcases and still walk around. The bathroom was so beat up - specifically the shower , grout glass etc. the pool was pretty but very dirty and the surrounding glass wall was so filthy we couldn’t hardly see out of it to enjoy the view. We booked this hotel for the location and rooftop pool and only used it once.

Cons:

See above. The tiny room for the price. The small bathroom.
