Pre-authorisation will be taken upon arrival to cover for any damages caused to the property. An amount equivalent to the booked room rate will be taken for 1-night stays and 50% of the total room rate for bookings for more than one night.
A surcharge of £25 applies for arrivals after check-in hours.

Easy to find, was a bit rundown, outside but staff very helpful. It was clean and coffee and tea available in room. Was not expensive.

I stayed at Gissons in early September, and Mr Sahaj made my stay especially memorable. He was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and attentive throughout my time there. His kindness and professionalism really stood out and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest.
Gissons Hotel runs with honour and integrity. I had made another booking for 15 days through a different third-party platform. When I contacted the third-party provider, they told me that the booking had been cancelled. However, when I contacted Gissons directly, they explained that the booking was still showing in their system. Unfortunately, I did not receive confirmation of the booking by the third party until the last day of check-in, when cancellation was no longer possible.
Despite the situation being outside their control, the team at Gissons kindly processed my refund and handled everything professionally. They were understanding, honest, and genuinely focused on doing the right thing for the customer.
It is refreshing to come across a hotel that operates with such integrity. I really appreciate how Gissons handled the situation and would happily recommend them.
I would highly advise booking directly with them or through a more reputable third party provider like booking.com that have much better policies.
Convenient , Clean and good value for money
Clean room, easy location.
Unfortunately looking pretty rough around the edges, signage falling apart, bits boarded up and car park has rubbish dumped. Noisy and overly warm room.
That the staff wasn’t very helpful when I noticed thing wrong with the room and waited till next day to sort anything
Really easy hotel to find just off A38. Good free parking Gentleman on reception was friendly and helpful. I had booked a room for a job interview the next day and he allowed me 30 mins extra to get sorted. Very much appreciated. Had booked a single room. In many hotels they are very compact but this room was clean and very spacious. It is not as hot as it has been but room kitted out with an excellent Air conditioning unit.
There is no dinning facilities at present but they are hoping to reopen those soon.
Spacious bathroom, good size tv, air con worked well, fresh towels/tea and coffee as required. Ironing board and iron provided instantly upon request - Erica provided great service when I met her. Check in and car reg validation easy. WiFi good.
Room not very clean, large spiders web by corner of desk, sticky stains on furniture. Place generally looks tired and not invested in. Air con noisy. Lots of background road traffic if on front part of hotel.
The location was good and the hotel was easy to find.
We had 3 rooms, one was okay, but there were problems with the other 2. One room was too small for a double bed, and we could only get into bed from one side. There was one bedside lamp that looked old and had a torn shade. The shower in the bathroom was too small and I couldn't turn round in it. The shower head didn't stay in the fitting as it wasn't from the same set.
The 3rd room smelt really bad - either damp or dirty.
Good Location, staff very friendly, room clean and spacious, perfect place to stay ..I will be back.
