Had a wonderful stay
Pros:

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kyoto ITOYA Hotel Mon. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations.

The room was surprisingly spacious, especially by Kyoto standards. The traditional-style bed was amazing, it gave a beautiful Japanese touch while still being incredibly cozy.

The amenities were top-notch. I especially loved the shower gel and shampoo, such high-quality products! The rain shower was perfect, with excellent water pressure and hot water available at all times. After long days of exploring Kyoto, this was pure luxury. The fully automated Toto-style toilet was another highlight.

I also appreciated the welcome tea selection upon arrival. Having an espresso machine in the room with daily capsule refills was a fantastic bonus and made mornings even better.

The staff were genuinely friendly, warm, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more special.

Location-wise, it’s very convenient, about a 23-minute walk from Kyoto Station and just 9 minutes from Gojo Station, making it easy to explore the city.

Overall, I highly recommend Kyoto ITOYA Hotel Mon for anyone visiting Kyoto. It perfectly blends comfort, traditional Japanese charm, and modern luxury. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent, Kyoto is a wonderful place and staying at Kyoto ITOYA Hotel Mon just added to the ease and relaxed experience
Pros:

Everything, the location is close enough to walk or cycle to the main streets and markets but far enough away that it is peaceful.
Breakfast is served to your door at your preferred time and it was different, fresh and delicious every morning.
Couldn’t fault the place.

Pros:

It was clean and new, if you’re wanting a modern take on a traditional Machiya or Ryokan - this is a great option. Staff were lovely and gave recommendations on restaurants and what to do in the area with a map. Welcome drink is always a big bonus, we were able to store our luggage there in the morning before we could check in too. Coffee machine was put to use, free slippers, had PJs for us. All in all very chic and aesthetic.

Cons:

Our room was on the second floor which didn’t have a proper balcony which was disappointing. We could also hear a lot from the ground being closer down to the ground level but that was just sheer luck, all in all it was a great stay and I’ll definitely recommend it for couples

La struttura è moderna, l’arredamento occidentale (la doccia è grande come una camera di hotel a Tokyo), camera ampia, letto comodissimi (su un soppalco) senza trascurare l’immancabile washlet (qui al massimo delle prestazioni😍). C’è anche la macchinetta per farsi il caffè espresso con le capsule e, ciliegina sulla torta, la mini cassa della Bose che per me è un sogno, adoro la musica diffusa in camera! Posizione defilata in una stradina tranquilla e sotto l’albergo l’izakaya più buono di tutto il viaggio in Giappone (belan no tuzuri)!

Cons:

La camera non viene pulita (però cambiano gli asciugamani) ogni giorno, unica pecca.
