Modern, comfortable rooms with the fluffiest towels of any hotel! Super clean room thanks to Asad. Great staff who all made me feel really welcome. And they have filtered water on every floor you can fill up your bottles or the decanter left in each room. Nice pool on the top floor too! Really enjoyed my stay here.

The refund was never processed even after several emails exchanged with both Booking.com and the hotel. Both agreed, but always blame the other. Very disappointed with their entire approach.

Formal Complaint Regarding Stay and Service – Booking Ref: 6198780333
Dear Management, OZO George Town Penang,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent stay at your hotel from April 3 to April 4, 2026. My booking was made via Booking.com for 6 adults, across 3 rooms (Confirmation Number: 6198780333).
While I had high expectations for OZO, the following issues significantly impacted my experience:
1. Poor Communication and Responsiveness
Prior to my arrival, I attempted to contact the hotel multiple times to arrange an extra bed. I reached out via the Booking.com chat and direct email, but received no response for 2-3 days. Even when I requested Booking.com to intervene, their representatives informed me that they were also unable to reach your staff by phone. This lack of responsiveness is unprofessional and made the pre-arrival process unnecessarily stressful.
2. Lack of Internal Coordination Regarding Room Setup
I had requested and agreed to pay for an extra bed in advance. Upon check-in, the extra bed was indeed in the room, but it was left folded and unmade. I immediately notified the front desk of this. However, after returning from dinner later that evening, I was frustrated to find that the bed still had not been set up or prepared.
It is clear that there was a significant breakdown in internal communication between the front desk and the housekeeping team. To have a guest follow up on a paid service twice, only to find it still ignored hours later, is unacceptable for a hotel of your standing.
As a guest, I value efficiency and coordination, both of which were severely lacking during this stay. I hope you will take this feedback seriously to improve your management and communication protocols.
