Good location
Pros:

Staff was friendly and the riverview was nice other than the junky houses on the other side of the river

Cons:

Bed was hard and you could not roll over without it sounding like it was falling apart. The paneling was all cracked up and needs to be replaced. The shower valve didn't want to turn all the way off so we heard it trickling all night.

Great location! Easy to get to Bryson City and Cherokee!

Cons:

The bed wasn't comfortable. The bathroom has show marks and water on the floor and found an old card key room key (not for their rooms) used for repairing the wall on the back of the toilet. I assume that's what the dirty shoe marks were from. Otherwise not horrible.

Wasn't even close to being considered anything but pathetic. If you can think of ANYTHING that could be either not safe or non-existent. I'm saying neither door would secure. We had 4 total minutes of warm water. (<20°) Outside.

Did not stay…I left due to bad scary conditions.

The only positive would be that it was on the river. I did not stay there for more than 10 minutes and left due to the conditions I found the place. I did not feel safe there.

Cons:

was very difficult to get into the office due to big steps, also difficult to get into the sidewalk to enter the room. The door key was an old timey key, the door looked like it had been prized open in the past. There were no curb cuts. The bathtub was stained yellow almost all the way up. The parking lot was in disrepair and I was afraid that I would fall with every step I took.

THE WORST PLACE I’VE EVER STAYED.

Cons:

I tried to cancel this reservation several times before our trip because my boyfriend was sick, but the hotel refused to work with me since I booked through a third-party site. They told me I would still be charged the full price for the weekend even if I canceled, so instead of wasting the money, we decided to just go. Big mistake.

When we arrived, they didn’t even have the room I originally booked. The room they gave us was nothing like what was advertised. The AC/heating unit was extremely loud and made it almost impossible to sleep. There were wires hanging from the ceiling where the smoke detector should have been, and a bent wire being used to “lock” the sliding glass door. The whole room felt unsafe and poorly maintained.

Since we were only staying a couple of days and had plans, we tried to make the best of it. But the first night, I woke up with bites on me. I hadn’t seen any bugs and thought maybe it was an allergic reaction—until the next night when I stayed awake checking. At 4 AM, I found bed bugs inside the pillowcase my boyfriend was sleeping on.

We immediately changed clothes, packed everything up, put it all in the back of the truck, and slept in the truck until someone was in the office. When we finally reached someone by phone, the woman wasn’t even surprised. She didn’t ask to see proof or anything—it felt like they already knew this room had a bed bug problem.

Despite all of this, they still refused to give me a full refund. This place clearly doesn’t care about guests at all—only about taking people’s money. With the way this hotel is being run, I honestly don’t see it being in business much longer. Save yourself the stress, the bites, and the complete lack of customer service. Stay far away.

The porch with river view The young man at the front desk check in/out. The laid backness time warpness of the place However we discovered a wet spot on the carpet about nine at night, just outside the bathroom door. we did not report it right away because be did not want to change rooms , and we were exhausted.
