Awesome inn right in the heart of Bar Harbor!
Pros:

Beautiful property only a couple of blocks off of the harbor and a 5 minute walk to all of the shops/restaurants in Bar Harbor. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The included breakfast was delicious and sitting on the wrap around porch in the morning with a cup of coffee was great. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We would definitely stay at the Sand Bar again!

Cons:

Nothing at all to complain about. It was a lovely stay.

Would absolutely stay again!
Pros:

The ambiance of the property, its location, and the staff are just fabulous. Every time my husband and I stay, we enjoy such peace and calm that make Bar Harbor so special.

Cons:

The only challenge of the property is the thin walls so you hear everything going on around you, but that is the nature of old buildings!

Pros:

The breakfasts were of particular note and on a day with an early start was offered “to go”. Outstanding service and very friendly. We would recommend to others and would happily stay here again.

Great place if you want to be close to everything.
Pros:

Location is great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and loved afternoon tea.
Rooms are very clean.

Cons:

Could do with furnishing and carpets updating.
Great place but a little expensive for the quality of the room.

The innkeeper Chris and staff were super friendly and responsive. The room was spacious, and the location was great for walking around town after a long drive
We enjoyed the live music or simply relaxing on the porch.

Cons:

We encountered a room situation, but the innkeeper quickly addressed it. The breakfasts were a bit ordinary casserole and baked good dishes I can make at home; however, they were presented well. Also, they accommodate a special request when asked.

The hospitality that Chris and staff provide is so warm and inviting.
Pros:

The complimentary breakfast options were perfect! Sitting on the open deck, enjoying the beautiful surroundings was very enjoyable. The waitstaff were extremely friendly and the meals came out very quickly.

Cons:

Fluffier pillows!
