The Wander Hotel, a Ramada by Wyndham

Very convenient location on Main Street. Parking was helpful, otherwise have to pay in the city parking. Conditioner didn’t work right, had to turn it off. Breakfast was ok except eggs and sausage were almost cold. Town was very busy with tourist for Oktoberfest, so overall I was happy just to be there for festivities.

Property is getting a little old, needs some repairs, shower spicker was hard to move from hot to cold.that was the only thing in our room that needed attention.

Obviously you know when you book something on the Gatlinburg strip it will be dated. I’ve stayed at other hotels in the area many times and understand convenience versus nice new hotel.

With that said- when we opened our door for the first time- the smell of mist and mold hits you. The entire carpet around the AC unit was soaked. It stayed soaked the whole stay. (Temp outside in 70’s, we had it set to 70 during day and 69 at night so it definitely didn’t run often) the whole room felt damp, our clothes, the bedding, etc.
Since we were out most of the days, we tried not to let it bother us.
Every towel seemed stained, the bedsheets stained.. the carpet was so dirty our socks were black. The indoor pool didn’t have the heater that worked so the water was ice cold and the hot tub didn’t work.
The staff was very kind. We did ask about the pool, but were told no eta on it being fixed.
The convenience of this location is the only thing that’s nice, being able to leave your room and walk for dinner or activities. The rates are very high for the amount of issues with the hotel though.

Clean room,staff was friendly, was in walking distance from good restaurants, & shopping, only problem had was getting in & out of the parking lot.

My room smell like mildew and there was cockroaches everywhere to front desk. Thought it might just be the people that stayed before us. They came in fumigated our room and left us without anywhere to go. Will never stay here again.

Nice room. Great location. Convenient for walking downtown. Wonderful breakfast. Front desk staff friendly. Balcony a plus.

Indoor pool was nice but not heated; no restroom nearby. Had to ask for enough towels every day (3 guests registered; only 2 sets in room). TV kept coming on by itself; had to unplug it every night. Small bathroom. Couldn’t get water for shower regulated; either too hot or too cold.

Otherwise, a great place to stay!

Hotbtub at pool not working. Very clean and spacious rooms.

We originally booked a suite. There were 5 of us. The suite was not like it was advertised. Basically 2 rooms with full size beds not queen, one bathroom, one area to hang clothes. Thankfully Dyneen at the front desk changed our accommodations and put us in two rooms with 2 beds each room next to each. Dyneen at the front desk was very professional, very friendly. A plus to the facility. Hot tub was not working. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was indoor pool and hot tub. we brought our grandchildren. Indoor pool was dirty and we had to ask for someone to clean before the kids would get in it. Clumps of hair floating on the bottom, bugs, clothes tags were in the bottom.

The staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable about shopping and resturants. Would definitly stay again

Pet friendly, good breakfast, great location!

Centrally located, many dining options nearby. We stayed in building #3, the room was fine, but it is dated and could use some updating. Staff are friendly and helpful, felt safe walking around.

Over all the stay was pleasant. Comfy beds and location was perfect. Was very convenient with our two small dogs. My only 2 complaints are I woke up each morning with ants on the bathroom sink and I never could get the hot water to work in the shower. But other then that it was a good place to stay.

Very convenient location, Good Staff and Best services as per the price…

This will be the 2nd vacation we have booked for this hotel. We will keep booking here as long as we are happy. This is a great hotel for the money. Convenient for the family.

Hotel was good, room was nice. Plenty of hot water. Hot tub not working. NO COFFEE for the whole stay. Rude front desk and staff.

I always stay at The Wander. I've always been satisfied with the room and friendly staff. Great place to stay!
