I specifically booked this because it had an indoor pool and hot tub. They were both out of order and it was not noted on the site, he said it was discounted because of that but I would have stayed somewhere else if I had known.
Also, the drain in the bathroom was really slow and there were gnats flying around the whole time.
There was also trash on the ground in front of our room

The pools and hot tub were closed.

I paid over 125.00 and seen advertisements on the hwy for 55.00 a night.

The pool and hot-tub were closed for unexpected maintenance which was a bummer and I didn’t know until check in.

The rooms could have been cleaner
We have stayed here for years and the cleanliness this time was unfortunately not like times before.
Maybe after the off season a deep clean in the rooms would be necessary? Seeing handprints, stuff marks, and food on the walls from others is a bit gross for me.
The location is awesome- we will try again in hopes the cleanliness this time was a fluke.

I am a regular visitor to this motel because it’s one of my favorites. The sheets and linens are usually a bit dingy, and the hotel is in need of upgrades. Also I was really bummed that the indoor pool was out of service over spring break when it’s too cold for the kids to get in the water at the beach

The fact that the never informed us the pool and hot tub were down and not working. The indoor and outdoor both. We have 2 kids so it was a main focus of the trip. We went to the beach and that was great, the hotel did have 2 outside shower heads for rinsing off neither of them worked. One was almost completely buried in sand. The boardwalk deck path way to the beach was also completely buried in sand rendering is useless . The next was the room was not the cleanest when we arrived and the beds did have sand in them. Also they were not accommodating at all. We never got our towels till late in the afternoon everyday and had to request them everyday. When you called the front desk for any request we were met with a gentleman who had a pretty lazy attitude and never was interested in helping make our stay more comfortable. I have a feeling most of the reviews on this site are paid for by the owners of the motel. Because we feel we were catfished for sure by the reviews and pictures of the place. SurfSide hotel next door on the other hand we stayed at last year and I’m kicking myself for not booking there.

This time the pool was closed. It was a little disappointing but we still had a blast

The hotel has the feel of a place that is falling apart (paint peeling, crooked balcony), and the surrounding area has trash in the grass, etc. The pool wasn't available, and we had to ask for kitchen utensils to be able to cook for two in the kitchenette. The proprietor didn't smile once, which makes one wonder if he's in the wrong business, and we were not able to have our room cleaned (we asked and were told "I'll try" and also told by other guests, "good luck with that.") It wasn't cleaned. We could hear the people next to us through the walls. We had to ask for new sheets because there were what appeared to be blood stains on one of them, which didn't elicit any type of apology from the proprietor.

Pool was closed. Refrigerator was leaking water everywhere. No Silverware.

The pools were both closed and we were not made aware of that prior to checking in. The towels were dirty and bed linens were stained. The photos online were not the same as in person.
