Fairfield by Marriott Ningbo Yinzhou

Ein gutes Hotel. Die Mitarbeiter sind hilfsbereit. Alles war gut, bis auf die langen schwarzen Haare der Vorbewohnerin, einschließlich der Überreste der Hornhautentfernung.
Ich würde wieder buchen.

It's my second time at Fairfield Ningbo. It's one of those unassuming hotels which appear to fly under the radar. The hotel is pretty decent 4 star hotel with clean rooms, a comfortable bed, funtioning WIFI & decent brekfast. The breakfast is limited compared to some of the other 5 star hotels in Ningbo but its decent mix of both chinese and western options. Coffee is OK-ish via a self-serve coffee machine. I bring my own coffee which solves that problem! I like the fact that I can wash my own clothes in the washing machine and dryers located on the ground floor. This saves a fair bit of money particularly if you're in Ningbo for 1-2 weeks at a time.

Staff don't speak much English unfortunately but not an issue which translation apps aren't able to solve!

I liked everything about tis hotel except for tge toilet area. Smells freely move throughout the room.

Overall, our stay is good, the room is clean and the breakfast buffet has very few options but is ok. But checking out was a disaster. When we headed down to the checkout counter, we were told to just leave the key and go. Because we had a 7,000RMB pre-authorization deposit, I asked for the bill. Turned out we were charged for my sister's room even though she booked on her own. ( we explicitly asked to not charge the two rooms together when checking in). Because my sister had left two days earlier and it took them a long time to figure that out. We spent more than 20 mins to sort this out and almost missed our train to Shanghai for our flight back to the states. Very unprofessional front desk staff.

Not much had changed. We tried the 2-bed room instead of the 1-bed this time. it felt slightly more cramped, but had a bit more privacy between the bathroom area and the sleeping area.

The breakfast was still OK, although the plates seemed a little dirty this time. One guest tried to light up a cigarette in the breakfast room, fortunately, a staff member was on hand to stop him.

Nothing exceptional.

As before, a complaint/shortcoming is that, as with many other hotels (in Ningbo and elsewhere), the stay would be significantly enhanced with things like Video on Demand, or the ability to watch movies from a USB on the television.

The pricing was good, and the stay was fine.

We spent a night here to try it out. As a Fairfield, we had no expectations of things like a swimming pool or executive lounge. Nevertheless, the room was fine. We had a comfortable bed, and a nice sleep. The breakfast was also quite good.
