The location was great. The room was clean. It was a vintage Hotel and conveniently located to the Moore Theater right next door.
The radiator heater was on full boar and we could not stay past 4 am. The bed is right next to the heater and the curtain above it that was touching on it was about 95 degrees or more. That felt unsafe for sure.
During check out I told the front desk about the heater and the curtain issue. He said that the 4th floor is comfortably heated and the rest of the Hotel heating has been an issue.
A truly vintage hotel in the heart of downtown Seattle!! Easy walking to the Pier, rail station, ferry. The receptionist was very helpful and kind. We were able to check in early. Being in the center of the city, there was street noise. All in all a great location and great price.
I spent one night at this downtown Seattle hotel. It’s close to public transport (30-40 minutes to the airport) and a 5-minute walk from Pike Place Market. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and a compact bathroom with shower. Overall, I was pleased with my stay; the staff were courteous and the hotel featured tasteful decor.
This hotel is great! I had to make some changes and they were extremely accommodating when they didn’t have to be. Really impressed and highly recommend :-)
Great location. Booked 2 room with connecting bathroom so it was spacious and comfortable. Would stay here again. Definitely recommend checking out the breakfast spot downstairs.
We had a very comfortable stay at the Moore. The decor is a bit tired, and we rented two rooms, at the same price, but one was nicer than the other. The showers aren’t great. But on the whole, this was a very reasonably priced hotel and the service was exemplary. Plus the attached restaurants are fantastic!
Walking distance to pike market and restaurants. Like the hotel even though they had no hair dryes in the room . We had booked a room with queen bed and got a double bed. They could not move us because the hotel was sold out. Other than that tte staff was friendly and the place was very clean. I would stay there again.
Friendly staff comfortable room easy check in and out. Cafe attached to lobby serving fantastic Mexican coffees. Hotel is very close to exciting locations and excellent restaurants.
Very friendly and helpful person at the desk the evening we checked in. Location was great. Hotel has a lot of authentic character.
Very quiet and convenient to many areas downtown
Check in took longer than I had hoped. I had a reservation, but got a message from hotels.com saying I canceled it. The front desk said my reservation was good, but insisted on me finding the email and source of email. When she saw it was from hotels.com and not Expedia, she was confused, which took even more time from check in. If my reservation was already in the books as valid, I’m not sure why I would need to spend more time trying to locate all the emails I had re this reservation to find a confirmation number. After being stuck in traffic, I was just ready to get settled in my room. My advice, if you get an email from hotels.com stating you cancelled your reservation, just call the hotel and confirm your reservation is still set, but don’t mention any email or you’ll be delayed at check in.
The hotel was ideally placed for walking
As basic a Hotel as we have stayed in. Amenities zero for older people the bathroom was not overly safe. I get the historical nature of the aged building. However that doesn't make it the only reason to stay there. Web photo's bit hard to give the real picture of what your getting for your money. It was not cheap. Practically for what you got. A small room with a bed.
I had a deeply disappointing experience at this hotel. After driving three hours to Seattle, I was met with hostility and unprofessional behavior from the front desk. I asked a simple question about discrepancies between online and in person rates, and was told I was being rude, that I “wouldn’t enjoy my stay,” and was then asked to leave the hotel.
Prior to that, I had called multiple times with parking questions, was placed on hold for over 10 minutes, and never received a response. When I arrived, the front desk employee was arguing on a personal call and clearly agitated. The front desk lady also claimed to own the hotel and wouldn’t let me speak to a manager! I was treated with disrespect, and I believe my accent contributed to the way I was perceived and dismissed.
After getting a hold of management later responded to my complaint with vague statements about internal reviews, but no apology or accountability. I do not recommend this hotel and would caution others especially travelers from diverse backgrounds about the way guests are treated here.
I stayed here before and after a cruise. Excellent location-an easy walk to Pier 66 but used shuttle suggested by hotel staff. Hotel is also close to dining and tourist stuff as well as transit.Staff was very helpful. Interesting hotel-an old building with a certain understated elegance and its obvious that improvements are being made. A box of kleenix tissues would be a helpful addition. I would definitely stay here again when in Seattle.
No hotwater.
Was it the classiest hotel I've ever stayed in? No. Was it cool and unique and just what we needed? Definitely. I stayed with my boyfriend and a friend of ours in a room/ two rooms that joined via the bathroom. We used an 'are ya decent?' code to be sure we all had privacy. It was clean and seemingly not haunted contrary to online stories. It's less than 5min walk to Pike Place Market and had a coffee shop connected to lobby. The price was reasonable when comparing to other downtown hotels. The painting on elevator door is...odd.
No place to eat.
Had an inadvertent mixup with our reservation and Mike was very proactive, flexible, and understanding.
What a relief for what could have a been highly stressful incident.
Quick to reply by email and work something out.
Looking forward to staying in adjoining rooms
The Moore Hotel in Seattle is a perfect mix of old-school charm and modern vibes. Built in 1907, it has that vintage feel but still offers all the comforts you need for a chill, affordable stay. It’s right in the heart of downtown, just a short walk from Pike Place Market and the waterfront.
You’ve got La Llorona Taqueria for some seriously good eats and Moore Coffee for your caffeine fix, all inside the hotel. The rooms are reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is laid-back.
For a comfy, budget-friendly stay with a killer location, The Moore Hotel’s the spot.
