A restful winter break by the sea.
Pros:

Loved being on the beach, with a balcony and sea view too. The room was so comfortable and relaxing and had a well stocked mini bar. I can’t comment on the complimentary Salcombe Gin as my partner drank it! Nice idea though and a top up each night might be good. The food in the restaurant was excellent, it was a bit pricey but the quality made up for that. The Spa facilities were excellent and very clean.

Cons:

It was raining and wintry when we were there and as the hotel is very much a beach hotel with lots of seating in outdoor spaces I felt the Bar indoors was too small and not very cosy, a bit like a waiting room for the restaurant, you didn’t feel inclined to stay in the bar long, which is a missed opportunity in the winter.

The senior staff/management could be more attentive. I feel the evening food was expensive for what you got. Also soup was not served with any bread.

Pros:

Breakfast was poor. It seemed that once the initial food had gone it wasn’t replaced. Shortage of plates and glasses.

Cons:

Bar staff were good, but reception was mediocre.

Fantastic stay and fabulous staff
Pros:

The location is stunning and the hotel itself is beautiful! The room was incredible and spa small but good sized pool. The staff were incredible they were super friendly attentive and a credit to the hotel
