Unhelpful reception staff
Pros:

This was our first trip to Sicily and we had heard that taxis could be costly. I asked the reception to book me a taxi to avoid being ripped off. The taxi they booked me cost 35 Euros for 3.7 miles! Do not trust this hotel!

Pros:

Situated in a very nice area close to a port
Pros:

Beautiful and comfortable room. Amazing view of Etna from our room and balcony. Staff was very gentle and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were both very tasty. Very clean. A little confusing finding your room in the second building.

Lovely hotel
Pros:

We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay, reception team very welcoming, friendly, pleasant, informative and professional.
Rooms extremely well presented. Cleaned daily and towels changed daily. A fridge with complimentary water to start you off and a pop to local shop to buy some more. Rooms have A/C (good once it's mastered). Bed we found comfortable with clean sheets daily. Well down to cleaning personnel.
Swimming pool great always a lounger no need to reserve with a towel, the beach is a stones throw away with a bathing bay although it's a bit rocky. On leaving a deck was installed for the public.
Afternoon/evening on the roof, well done to all the staff, again welcoming, professional and helpful. Excellent views to the front the sea and behind is Etna.
Breakfast plenty on offer great selection of continental. It can get busy at times, always topped up when food gets low, Staff are very helpful and if it's not there just ask,they always oblige.
Location is great for the town, lovely walks there's old and new buildings (mostly old). Shops and restaurants near by and lots of choices. Railway station not far and cheap to use, so your not far from Catania or Taormina.
Overall we had a lovely time here.
Big thank you to all the staff for a pleasant stay. 😊

Nice hotel
Pros:

I had 3 nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The rooms were nice enough with balconys that you could see out to the ocean from. Breakfast was nice enough with lots of choices. The staff were nice particularly the evening receptionist. I had my bag go missing during my flight and she put is much effort to have it delivered to the hotel prior to my leaving. The only issue I found was wifi was not very good in the room, you have to use the free wifi in the reception arear. Regardless I would recommend a stay here, pool area is lovely.

Our home away from home.
Pros:

Taking my Mom back to here hometown of Reposto after 52 years was exciting and a bit intimidating. We stayed at the Yachting Palace for 9 days. The staff got to know us & treated us like family! We looked forward to returning there every day to eat & relax with a swim in the pool. They are very accommodating! We are returning again this July for a family wedding and are choosing to stay with Yachting Palace!

Nice hotel at the sea!
Pros:

Lovely hotel with very pleasant staff. Beautifull rooms with view on the sea. Nice swimming-pool (though not open in the evening). Nice restaurant with very friendly and fast staff. Unfortunately you only have wi.fi in the reception area. The bar is not open, but right outside the front door is the nicest little coffe-bar. Excellent for visits on Etna, in Catania and Taormina.

Fine place to sleep, but not to eat.
Pros:

The room was quite nice. Clean, well equipped, but small bathroom. No bathtub. Very small TV. Beautiful pool. Nice, helpful staff.

BUT, the food was very disappointing. This was my first trip to Italy, and I was looking forward to some great meals. As I was with a business tour group and the group had booked half-board, I could not comfortably leave the group to eat outside the hotel. The pasta sauces were especially disappointing and there was not much of a vegetarian selection. Desserts were utterly bland and industrial. The waiting staff were all very pleasant.

If you are in Riposto, this hotel is fine for sleeping and lounging... but eat out.

Great place to stay at a lousy destination
Pros:

Great place to stay at a lousy destination. Excellent hotel, just by the beach. Nice speaking pool. Friendly staff (people at the reception even spoke English). One disadvantage - very poor food. Very poor breakfast - one type of cheese and two types of salami..that's all pretty much. Suppers we're even worse. Especially the main course. Beware of room number 203 (triple room)- small room and no view- to a dumpster or smth...

Close to Riposto city center.
Pros:

Our room was comfortable and the bed good. The sea view was very small because there was another building in front. In the pool area there was no place to sit because there were a lot of people up until late in the afternoon. You had to get up early in the morning if you wanted to find a place to sit by the pool. Breakfast was typical. Very difficult to find the hotel even though we had navigator.

Small, relatively quiet, conveniently located and excellent service!
Pros:

We stayed here for three nights at the start of a week's guided coach tour and were very happy to return for the final night of the tour. Our arrival was slightly chaotic as 50 tired tourists tried to locate the rooms with 400 and 500 numbers when the hotel only has three floors with rooms. These rooms are all located in the annexe next to the swimming pool on the first and second floor and it is possible to cross over to the main building without getting wet in a thunderstorm by using a roofed footbridge.
After reading the previous reviews we weren't sure what to expect on our first encounter with Sicilian hotelry, but we were most satisfied. Our very spacious room (513) did not look onto the street, the pool or Mount Etna but had a large French window which allowed us to check on the visibility to Etna every day. There is a large panorama terrace on the roof of the main building and the annexe where you have a wonderful view in almost every direction.
On the first evening the restaurant and kitchen reacted immediately to my wife's gluten-free diet and from then on she was presented with alternative dishes without reminder. Even with a change of staff on our return for the fourth night there was no problem in this direction.
The food was among the best we had during the week on Sicily and the four-course evening meal was more than adequate. My only complaint would be the morning coffee, which was not up to the same standard. (In front of the hotel is a small cafe with an excellent alternative). The prices for drinks in the evening were very reasonable.
After one particularly violent thunderstorm we returned to our room to discover that the window which we had left ajar had been opened wider by the storm and the floor in that area was covered by a large puddle. The gentleman at reception appeared within two minutes with a bucket and mop and cleared up the mess without complaint.
Riposto itself is well worth exploring. Tourists out of the holiday season are regarded with curiosity. We enjoyed an afternoon and a morning wandering round the marina, the main square the fish market and the promenade by the sea front. The contrast to a tourist town like Taormina is enormous. The town is ideally located for day trips to Etna, Syracuse, Catania and Taormina.

One f the few hotels in Riposto
Pros:

I stayed here for a week after booking a cheap getaway deal from England. I read the reviews and did not expect a big tourist presence in Riposto, but that did not bother me. During my stay, I didn't see any other hotels and it seems that Riposto is a holiday destination for Italians, largely. Having said that, the hotel caters for the needs of anyone choosing to visit this quiet fishing port.

Unfortunately I got off the a bad start, emailing the hotel twice for directions from the airport but not getting a reply. Thankfully a fellow reviewer on Trip Advisor advised to get the Alibus 457 from Catania airport to Catania Centrale and then get the train to Giarre-Riposto. From here its a ten minute walk down to the port. Unfortunately, I then had trouble locating the hotel (turn right when you reach the sea front, head past Marina Di Riposto, past the 'viewing wall' and its on the next right) but some very friendly locals helped us.

We were in a 'basic' double but essentially this means no balcony, but large friench doors that open anyway. We had a large, comfortable bed and a decent bathroom.

I've read poor reviews for the food but I disagree. Breakfast is from 7-10 and we went down after 9 each day and still had a full selection. Dinner is from 7:30-9:30 and consists of a starter, a pasta course from a choice of 2 or 3 dishes, a choice of a meat or fish dish, and dessert. Each course alone might be slightly smaller than average, but when you're having four courses there is more than enough! You pick your evening selection each morning at breakfast. The menu is in Italian and German but the staff are very helpful for those who can only speak English.

The pool is lovely, the hydro/sauna area does work, it just works on a button system so it doesn't run when it's not used. There were plenty of beds and parasols and the pool is cleaned daily.

The hotel is well located near to several supermarkets, bars, cafes and transport systems.

The staff were very helpful, even advising us that it would be cheaper to use public transport to visit certain places rather than book their affiliated excursions. The only downside is they have leaflets for attractions which are very had to get to via public transport, and have no alternative suggestion for those who wish to visit said places. But that's more a reflection on the lack of tourism in this part of Sicily.

Overall, a pleasant stay and you get what you pay for. If a quiet, relaxing holiday is what you want, then this hotel is ideal.

Sicily Revisited. Philip
Pros:

We were a party of four adults and had two spacious, clean rooms for a week last July. My dad was there as a returning WW2 veteran on the Hero`s return scheme. We were well looked after by the staff and ate and drank well. The hotel is well situated near the sea-front but still with easy parking if you have a car. Most important for Sicily , Riposto is on the flat coast plain so no steep slopes to negotiate, unlike some of the more well known resorts. Riposto also feels very Italian as it is a working town with no obvious tourist presence

Nice hotel in Great Location
Pros:

Had a few days in Riposte and stayed at the Grand Yachting Place. Helpful staff who made good restaurant recommendations. A good base for day trips to Etna, Taormina, Catania and Syracuse. And Riposte itself is a really nice little place, as well. We liked it as tourism is still emerging here, so you get a slightly more authentic feel (and slightly cheaper prices). My advise would be to go there now, before it gets crowded with tourists!

Only downside was that there was no wi-fi in the rooms, but then this doesn't seem to be standard in most hotels in Sicily. There is internet in the lobby, though.

Pros:

We stayed here for our honeymoon. I will start by saying that the hotel staff were very helpful and polite. We took the half board option, the evening meal was nice but very small helpings and very little choice. The only wine available is the house white or red which is not the best (despite there being a display cabinet showing some better wines). They do not offer coffee after the meal. The breakfast is served 7.30 to 9.30 and is, at best poor. If you are not down by 8 then there is not a lot left. The bar in the reception was not open, we enquired at reception and were informed that the bar and food was franchised and not connected to the hotel and that the franchise holder had no staff. Needless to say we ate out (see my Riposto review). The pool is lovely and very deep but the hydro part was never turned on and you cannot get any food or drink. They do offer a free bus service to the beach (5km away but there is one 3km away) but you have to go at 9am and can return at 12.30pm or go at 3.30pm returning at 5pm. there is no flexibilty. The hotel basically caterers for business people and coach tours hence the breakfast times. If you are looking for a restful, peaceful holiday do not book here.

A very nice hotel on east coast of Sicily
Pros:

This hotel is located in the old fishing town of Riposto on the east coast of Sicily. It was not a primary spot for us to stay but served as a great base from which to day trip to Catania, Siracusa, Taormina and Noto. Be sure to go to Noto. The hotel is modern, clean, bright with friendly helpful receptionists. Breakfast was limited but fine. This place is one block from the water which allows for pleasant strolls along the waterfront. This is a rather expansive hotel with a great pool and caters to tour groups as well as casual customers.

Attractively located, modern and comfortable with courteous staff.
Pros:

The hotel is situated by the sea, near the centre with good promenade walks, shops and parking outside - very convenient. Riposto is a fishing village which is undergoing a 'revamp' to boost tourism, squares have been enhanced, the marina is brand new and the promenade being widened. It is a characterful, truly Italian town where tourism is barely noticeable;

The pool is clean, warm, good range of depths, has showers, jacuzzi, sun beds and palm trees and gets full sun and shade - highly recommended;

Rooms are modern, clean, air conditioned (so long as you don't open the balcony door which automatically turns it off) and large with viewws of sea or Mount Etna - very comfortable;

Breakfast and evening meals offered excellent choice and flexible eating times until late with maitre D or Head Waiter very attentive. Reasonably priced drinks. Meals and wine both Sicilian dishes or sourced, lots of fresh fish;

You could manage without a car as the Circumetnea railway is not far fro the hotel. You can park for free outside the hotel or pay for undercroft parking.
