Duck Bay Hotel

The check in was the best past of our stay.
Cosy lit up reception. Rooms below average.
I phoned ahead to reauest room in quiet part of hotel. My room was next to the front door. Sound proofing non existant.
Constant doors banging. Televions on all night. Can hear conversations from other rooms.. Our door was tried several times during the night. Felt unsafe. No one around at reception. Extremely noisy.
Had 2 hour sleep in 2 nights. Feeling ill leaving this place. Would NEVER recommend. A waste of 2 days of my life! Exhausted.

Lovely modern hotel with fabulous views over Loch Lomond. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant on Sunday evening and was offered the option of Sunday Roast Dinner. Would have loved a vegetarian roast option.

Restaurant was excellent, breakfast was ok. Room was lovely but the noise levels from outside and corridor were terrible.

Great location on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. The executive room is excellent and provides a fantastic view and a private outside seating area.
The restaurant is excellent and the staff, throughout the hotel are fantastic.

Really disappointed. We paid over £1900 for 7 nights in an executive suite at Duck Bay but left after 2 nights and went home. The facilities look nice but are not adequate for more than a 1 night stay. Facilities are poorly maintained and worn. We had planned a relaxing week at Loch Lomond and selected the executive suite to have outside and indoor space to chill out, read a book and use a vape on the terrace. Unfortunately, the hotel does not allow vaping on the external terrace (not mentioned on web site). Internally, there is very limited storage for clothes, just 6 hangers, no drawers or shelves. This meant that we had to live out of suitcases on the floor. One of the reception staff was very pleasant and helpful but another was rude and argumentative. Overall, this was a complete waste of money !!

Excellent suite with views of the loch.

Amazing venue situated on the shores of Loch Lomomd with a great restaurant to the side. This was a one night stop over travelling down from Isle of Skye to Edinburgh Tattoo, parking is free but had to park in the restaurant car park as only room for about 3/4 cars outside the main reception. Our room had its own screened off patio area overlooking the Loch. Used the restaurant for our evening meal as convenient and quicker after walking all afternoon. The portions are generous and moderately priced with attentive staff on hand to make your experience the best.
We had breakfast included and is also varied and caters to all tastes.

Where to start? What's not to like here. A stunning loch-side location; beautiful and well-appointed room overlooking the loch, Nespresso facilities, great shower-room. The breakfasts were excellent. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and could not fault a thing. The choice, presentation and taste of the food were all superb. We had a minor issue in our room but the staff were onto it and it was fixed in no time. I couldn't recommend this place more.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful. The attached restaurant has good quality, beautifully presented food. The onsite breakfast is of high quality too.
However, the room is very small and lacks natural light and is poorly ventilated. The room we had was pricey for what it was, but was probably based on the beautiful location.

Excellent views from room would be good if a safe for valuables

We had a lovely stay to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. Despite some negative comments I reserved the hotel and was not disappointed. Perfect stay in Loch Lomond suite number 4 with splendid uninterrupted views over the loch. Staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend this hotel.
