If you are unaffected by train noises, this is an awesome stay. Door lock felt less-than-secure. Shower head was next level nice.
You get what you pay for, a $50 motel is going to be dingy, run down, and in an awful area. The “non-smoking” room smelled so strong of cigarettes that we requested a different room. The new room had a dirty cleaning cloth and smelled so strong of cleaner we had to open a window in 30 degree weather to air it out for an hour. Neither option were great for a sick toddler and mama. Didn’t even have toilet paper in the room and front desk had to go buy some because the motel was out. Staff aren’t very friendly or welcoming. Nonstop trains blaring their horns right next to the motel all night kept us up. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.
The property was in a good area.
Easy check in
The people were very nice and helpful…we aren’t complainers…the price was right so we tried it…beds were comfortable stayed warm
Good
Pleased with property. Heater worked great as Fall/Winter temp climate set in.
The room was good for the cost. The TV was not working and we were given another room with a good TV, but we decided not to move to another room because it would be hassle to move everything from our room to another room. The workers were helpful although.
Perfect if you’re just looking for a cheap place to sleep and shower. Heads up, WiFi is NOT free. I also wasn’t offered breakfast the first time I stayed
The property was sketchy, building in disrepair and entrance not locked at night
I stopped here originally for a single night but ended up staying for 2. The price was extremely good. Hotel was clean and staff was nice. Free breakfast of eggs, potatoes and sausage or bacon was served in the restaurant and was okay. It’s on Route 66 so that was nice. There is train tracks right behind/beside the hotel with lots of traffic but it never bothered me.
Like many other Route 66 hotels this one was right next to the railroad, so there were trains going by all night. Not the greatest if you want a quiet room to sleep in.
Other than that, the rooms were fine and there was hot breakfast from the attached restaurant included for under $50/night in 2024 so the value for money was great as long as you can live with a little noise.
It was a good pace for the rite price
This hotel is a part of a gas station/quick mart -bus stop. The rooms are tiny, dank, and situated by a railway where the train screeched throughout the night! It was so sad it was comical. We stayed here to save money and ended up paying MORE because of their non-refundable pet deposit. We had already paid for a pet friendly room and they still up charged us. It cost us about $80 a night plus fees. It was wildly Overpriced and not true to the Expedia description. It was awful. I wish we’d be refunded at least the pet fee. Do not stay here unless you HAVE TO.
Seedy area; at a truck stop. TV on in room when we entered. Bedding appeared to be just 2 white sheets; no type of blanket. Sheets so wrinkled it appeared had already been slept on. Curtains didn't quite cover the entire window so had to decide if we wanted light to come thru the middle of window or one of the ends. Room dingy; mildew by shower fixtures. Trains are pretty loud but that was the least of our issues. Did not use shower as was pretty unappealing. Did not try the breakfast as we figured it would be like everything else - bad. I know you get what you pay for but at $65, this was overpriced! There is no way the good reviews this place got are real.
Great place to stay.
The room was reasonably clean, but in poor maintenance. The worst part about the stay was constant trains going by across the street. Every 3-7 minutes a train would go by on some very busy tracks, each time blowing the horn 3 or 4 times. This happened literally from the minute I arrived until I left in the morning.
Access from the Interstate.
You can sleep all night, every 30 minutes the train pass on that area
