Everything about the St Giles House Hotel was perfect for our stay. The location was ideal as we were staying in Norwich for a family wedding at The Assembly Halls.
The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was perfect, clean and fully equipped for all we needed plus the extra designs of the towels by the cleaners for our entertainment 😀

Location excellent. Second room we had was pleasant and comfortable.
The first room we had was unpleasant. Very stained carpet. Stained furniture. leaky sink. hard bed and pillows. We complained and got moved. The breakfast was OK but the catering could be improved.

Hotel location very good. Bathroom nice. Breakfast was not bad. We were able to use the car park after checkout.
Property is very tired. Peculiar carpet and cheap furniture in the room. There is a curfew, hotel is locked at 11pm. If you come back later you have to ring the bell. If nobody comes there’s a mobile phone number to call. Completely bizarre and unwelcome. We rushed back early from our evening out because we didn’t want to deal with that. Quite expensive, poor value.
The staff were excellent and provided outstanding service.
The cocktails in the bar were some of the best we have ever had and the Boxty breakfast was unusual and superb.
The fabric of the building is looking a bit tired especially in the bedrooms.
The public areas are very good, staff very nice.
The rooms are not so good. They are dull and bland - grey and no art work or any attention to detail. No food available on Sunday or Monday and nowhere really in close proximity. Bar prices are expensive 1 pint and 1 glass of red wine £18
