Great location, staff, food and value for money.
It was a perfect location for everything we needed to see
When we first arrived in Norwich, we struggled to find the property. Nothing to do with the property at all just the road management.
Lage ist perfekt. Altes Gebäude mit Stil. Personal äußerst freundlich. Gutes Frühstück. Gute Betten. Geräumiges Zimmer und Bad. Gute Dusche. Gute Klimaanlage.
Alter Teppichboden voller Flecken, welches ein Gefühl von Unsauberkeit vermittelt. Badezimmerspiegel schlecht ausgelichtet. Kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer.
Staff very friendly & accommodating. A pleasure to stay. Great location in the city.
Nothing
The room was large and clean, with large bath towels. The room had the usual selection of tea and coffee but also as a bonus hot chocolate which was a pleasant surprise.
Breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Given the price of the room I was expecting there to be bathrobes and slippers so was disappointed to find there weren’t any.
Staff. Ambience. Room great.
No fridge in room. Breakfast slightly disappointing. Poached eggs over-cooked..Bacon like shoe leather.
Excellent location minutes from center of city. Foid was great, staff attentive , great service. Rooms cleaned and madeup wvery day. Loved our stay.
Norwich hillier than expected, at nearly 80 I struggled a bit but my wife and I walked 6 hours a day.
Location was excellent, all the staff were welcoming, efficient and really helpful. Lounge, bar and restaurant were excellent although we thought the rooms could benefit from a little update and perhaps the odd picture or two. The kitchen was very accommodating, breakfast was excellent with a good choice, lunchtime meal was excellent and the wine selection was sensible, well priced and very good.
The lift has seen better days!
A well positioned hotel for getting around the city.
The bed was extremely comfortable
Stains on the room carpet.
The lift appeared to need some attention
Beautiful old building but with spacious rooms. Our room was very quiet , well laid out and extremely spacious both the room and en-suite. Position for the city is excellent. A good choice for breakfast with very friendly staff.
Paying extra for parking on an already fairly expensive hotel feels harsh but as it is so close to the city I am guessing parking is a premium.
We regularly stay at this hotel because of it's location. You are central to the city and everything it has to offer. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Check in is an easy process. Breakfast is brilliant with a great selection and your ordered food comes out well cooked and presented.
The hotel is under new-ish owners and is still in the middle of refurbishment. The room that we stayed in this time didn't appear to have been refurbished but it had had a deep clean as we have stayed in this room before. Although the room was a little tired it was spotlessly clean....2 small issues. There needs to be a black out blind fitted as the sun comes into the room which means you are awake very early in the summer. The shower doors are poorly designed. There is a gap along the bottom so water escape onto the bathroom floor making it wet and potentially dangerous
excellent location, just 5 minutes from the Theatre. The staff where very helpful and we got a lovely upgraded room. We had a lovely breakfast and there was something for everyone. When we booked out we were able to leave our car in the car park until mid afternoon, giving us plenty of time to look round Norwich. All in all a very good stay
Very helpful staff polite food was exceptional
No faults
Great location- very centrally placed. Good choice for breakfast and nice bar area
Rooms definitely need updating. Could have been cleaner- bathroom okay but dust on furniture
Excellent location for the castle, market cathedral, shops and eateries.
Looking a little bit tired.
