A great value during a convention week, but this is one rough block.
Pros:

The room is surprisingly comfortable, and quiet, and it was clean. But this is one of the more squalid blocks in the city. This is not the original Cathedral Hill Hotel.One nice thing is there are so many convenient stores. But you will be stepping over an entire block of fentanyl zombies to get into the hotel.. Also, there are zero amenities.

Things were a little tattered.

Fair hotel, fair price, questionable location
Pros:

Basic but clean room. A bit of noise from the street but not too much.

Cons:

The hotel's location in the middle of the Tenderloin district with homeless people all around. I believe that many would not feel comfortable walking in this neighborhood, particularly at night

el lugar esta bien para el precio es céntrico, lo único malo es que hay muchos vagabundos en las calles frente al hotel, y en las noches se siente un ambiente muy pesado, lo recomendado es llegar en taxi en las noches y de tres días que estuvimos solo un día se hizo el aseo de la habitación, fuera de ahí todo estuvo bien

Cons:

I got scammed. When I got to the hotel they told me that room was not available for « safety reason » (it was the case for other customers as well) and they told me that I could either get transferred to another motel close to the airport or have a refound. No prior notice, the reality is that the hotel was overbooked.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The smell was disgusting, the bed felt like i was sleeping on the floor. So aweful and unsafe also.
