The staff were very friendly and helpful, a great breakfast and the room was tidy and cosy.
Would recommend!
The reason I have given only 2stars is that there was no hot water due to the boiler being broken so I could not shower.
It was amazing start to finish, great food, great service and lovely room they couldn't do enough for you
We had a lovely spacious room which included a small sofa, so it was comfortable to return to in the evening and watch tv. The downside was the room was at the top of the building up two flights of stairs, so not good for people with limited mobility or heavy bags. The ensuite was very small but the shower was powerful and the towels of good quality. Just a 10 minute walk to centre of Harrogate and restaurants.
Staff are very friendly and the property was immaculate. Would 1000% stay again.
The hotel its self is lovely, nice and clean. Breakfast is fresh.
2nd time at this hotel, and will use again.
Unfortunately both the mattresses in room 3 are uncomfortable to sleep on.
It has taken me a while to think about posting this , however .....
i recently stayed here for a night ,The moorings sits in the middle of nowhere .
The hotel rooms have
Good location for either visiting the local area or for an overnight stay if travelling along the M1. Nothing to fault with the room or the hotel / pub amenities.
The price
Excellent value for money friendly helpful staff food very generous portions and lovely cooked breakfast
The food at breakfast was absolutely delicious,I had fruit to start and there was a large amount to chose from, there was unlimited tea and coffee staff brought my food to the pub part as I was unable to climb the stairs due to my disability,
Evening meal was delicious I had chicken fajitas with everything on the plate to add to the meal I Also ordered proper chips which were delicious. The Bed was really really lovely and comfortable and the room was beautiful
The staff couldn’t do enough for me and they were all polite and friendly and' I really loved my time at the moorings.
This is our second time staying here and cannot recommend it highly enough, it is super close to Beamish which is why we stayed. Rooms are lovely and clean, food is amazing big portions, the staff are super helpful and very friendly. Lovely seated area to the rear to enjoy drinks, Good parking also to rear of property. Would highly recommend.
No soap or shampoo in room on arrrival, although shower gel then supplied. Beds very hard.
Cooked breakfast tasteless.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Booked on the spur of the moment.
Excellent price. Fabulous clean room.
Large bathroom with corner bath and powerful shower. Lots of hot water, clean white fluffy towels. We upgraded to King size bed, patio doors to outside decked veranda. Fabulous in the warm weather.
Next door to the pub and restaurant.
Excellent food, good menu both evening meal and breakfast.
Couples only at the moment.
Well worth it. Would definitely stay again.
Fantastic stay and amazing value for money thank you 😊
Good value for money hotel... clean room comfy bed and good hot shower
Really nice brekky... staff really attentive.
Lovely clean room and very comfy bed. Plenty tea and coffee in the room and towels. We were in room 2 which has its own decking terrace.
The main car park is at the back of the hotel and there are a couple of spaces at the front too but both sides have very close access.
We had the full English breakfast both mornings which is not included in the booking price but worth every penny. It really set us up for the day.
We're just home after a two night stay and have already booked again for our next visit.
I would definitely recommend The Moorings.
Upon arrival, problems began immediately:
1. Incorrect Information About Breakfast:
The hotel staff insisted that our booking did not include breakfast and gave us Room 6, despite my confirmation email from Hotels.com clearly stating FREE BREAKFAST AT ROOM 5 .
2. No Hot Water:
There was no hot water available throughout our stay, which meant we were unable to take a proper shower.
3. Lack of Tidiness :
The room looks clean but shockingly, we found a female bra left in the room.
4. No Staff Available for Assistance:
When I tried to contact hotel staff for help, no staff could be found on-site. I attempted to phone the hotel multiple times, but no one ever answered.
5. Very disturbed in my room (Room 6) : The toilet in bathroom occasionally made very loud noises, and the floor even shook.
I can show you video to prove what I said is true.
Shocked to find no one at reception, after climbing up and down a flight of stairs we eventually found someone in the restaurant to check us in and give us a key. The room was basic but clean. We were then told that there were barley any staff. So the room didn't get cleaned while we were there and we had to pay an extra £5 each per night for a cooked breakfast. When we went to the restaurant next morning and ordered our breakfast it was not very nice at all. We had eaten there the night before and that meal was lovely though. We appeared to be the only guests, while we were there we only saw 3 members of staff and they were all very nice and as helpful as they could be. I wouldn't stay there again though, although I have a feeling they may not stay open for much longer somehow.
Although I was the only resident at the hotel that night I was well catered for. I was disappointed the restaurant was closed but it must have been a quiet night. My breakfast was prepared and left for me and entry instructions to the hotel.
