Lovely stay. We’ll be back.
Pros:

Lovely two nights here. Staff lovely , breakfasts fab. Only downside no ground floor bedroom and no lift!

Value for money and would stay again because the staff were so friendly
Pros:

Breakfast was amazing , such a lot of delicious food , the staff were all very friendly and helpful
I stayed in the single room which would not be suitable for anyone over my height of 5 foot 1inch due to slopping ceilings

Cons:

The pillows really need replacing , they are flat as pancakes and smell unpleasant
The skylight really needs cleaning and would have been helpful to be able to close the blind

Comfortable and clean room only stay, in very good location with parking availability
Pros:

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good parking available, comfortable mattress, issues with shower and towels rectified quickly

Cons:

small room (6) which needed updating, only managed to get a few channels on the TV

Great hotel for an overnight stay; with a good breaklfast included
Pros:

The central location of the hotel with parking is a real bonus in Cockermouth. This village is crammed with local shops eateries ; resturants ; pubs , The hotel breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. There was no evening meal available so we went to a local pub and ate their and enjoyed a bar quiz which was on that night

Cons:

The only thing we did not like was the bed mattresses which were on the soft side for myself and my wife ; who both have back problems. Perhaps we should have mentioned this when booking. You always live and learn but for an overnight stay; thankfully it was not a problem; we survived !!
